I use arms in the 44 - 48 degree range (if you buy a lot of arms, as I do, you realize that you rarely get exactly what you order for timing. That range is all from the same batch ordered at 45!) I also tend to ship all my D motors advanced approx. 5 degrees at the endbell.

If I'm familiar with the raceway or racer who orders the motor, I'm likely to adjust the final timing to suit what I know about that raceway or racers home track. Of course, if they specify some timing setting, then thats what I try to deliver :-)
