Just wanted to let all the S-16D users out there know that the New RJR arms ( #919 B) are tigers. My "out of the package" experience with one was nothing short of astounding. Runs cool , is very fast & real user friendly and the bigger the pinion the more it seems to like it. Try one !
Luck !

1SLOWHAND, what sort of a setup were you using? Twister or Rotor? How about magnets, brushes, & brush springs? What sort of track layout are you running on? The local track got some in a couple weeks ago but I have yet to see one run.

Bill, I'll do a quick rundown for ya. Rotor set up with DM-2's. .576 air gap. Gear was 12:36 (.790 tires) but could just as easily have used 13:36 & gone even faster. Bigfoot-II's & Champion lights tweeked up a little bit to add a bit more tension.
Track is a 185 ft. Engleman, mostly flat turns, one banked turn @ end of front straight. We raced @ 13.52 volts. We were racing JK stamped steel Indy cars. Just for the record this was the winning armature. It had been a while for me so needless to say, I'm a little pumped about the results. Let me know if I can help fill in any more blanks. This is just a quick sketch to point you in the right direction.

Hope it helps.
