Monty,
I've got a few of your 16-D motors with worn can bushings. I would like to replace them myself. I'm going to order the bearing alignment slug from Ian, but I need to know what size to order.
Thanks!

JayGee,
If you were servicing one of my C cans, I would say go with .534", but D cans are actually a lot easier! I use Parma Rotor cans, which are so accurate I dont do anything special to center the bushing to begin with. Anotherwords, once you have the bushing out, and have the excess solder scraped away, all you need is a straight shaft to get the new bushing in place. The hole has not been enlarged. This is the major reason the D setup sells for $18, but the C setups are $35-40!
The D can airgaps do vary some, so if I told you that most are .580" - and they are - there is a fair chance the new slug would not fit
