I have a cox cast chassis and am not sure which motor goes in it. It is the cast type like the 1/24 gt40 but is a little smaller, but it looks too big for 1/32. Non adjustable with a drop arm etc. A 36d is too big and a 16d is too small. So far the only body I have found to fit is Pattos 1/24 Ford J car. The regular front suspension wont fit right either.
Any info on this?
Thanks!

What leads you to think that it is a cox chassis? To me you are on the right track, but I am only familiar with the 36d and 16d cast magnesium chassis.. should be telltale corrosion by now to know if it is not aluminum!! Both can and endbell drive sidewinders were used in the 1/24 Cox cars. The 16d car that I have has a cover plate to hold the motor in. If the cover is missing, it may look like a bigger motor fit in it. Cannot say if Cox had a car with a 26d. Anyone else got a clue?
