not to take any thing away from erkle but if chubbie didnt burn a motor he woulda turned almost 550laps he was on pace and the I-15 pro record got shattered from 3 racers but since we only had 7 racers it didnt count, turned 816 in 27`s won by lamo and he also won the c-12 race too, tracks got alot of potential still lots of work to finish, it was a good day in the mid-atlantic

Sounds like one hell of a track you guys got, i take it there wont be any more complaining about the dead man!! I always liked the old one, but this thing sounds fast as hell.

This is the fastest track, I have ever seen!!!
Congrats to all the Mid-Atlantic types, for a great job with the track.
Congrats to Gary Gerding, you may have just changed the standard.
Do you want to hear something real scary? Erkle and Chubbie were not running their best stuff, not even close. Their nats quality stuff is in a box in my office, waiting to get reconditioned by Beuf. They were both testing some new arms and we felt they were a little out of balance. I would love to see what the Big Boy $hit runs like on this track! Givin the fact that the track is still eating flags tells me, it is not even close to being broken in yet.
With in two years, we may see Gp12 break the 600 mark in lap totals.

See you boys in two weeks at the NE Nats!

a Nat's bid coming in their future !

10-09-2005, 11:53 AM
Just out of curiousity, what was the rule on tire compound for this race? did you guys run wonder or SX type rubber?

Congrats erkle.....that is just incredible!!!!

10-09-2005, 12:41 PM
In the Mid-Atlantic, the Speed, SX, GuGu, Brazillian, (or whatever else they are called) tires are banned for racing. Only allowed in qualifying.

Most everyone ran Wonder or SBR.

Before anyone asks, the voltage on the track is 14.28 VDC, read at the panel, unloaded, with a calibrated Fluke Mod. 87 VOM.

Bent rim
10-09-2005, 07:59 PM
In Gp12 Erkle was running the new Red Fox.
In Int 15 we were all trying the Jose Mario chassis.

10-15-2005, 12:20 AM
erkle cheated he ran a c-12 arm, alum chassis, quad mags, he was Light the whole race, ummm he cheated...he ran teh speed rubber till the 7th heat..he cheated

Congrats Erkle, your lucky i burned:D :p :D

So, in all the aluminum chassis classes, are U guys finding out that shorter/stiffer cars are the way to go?

How's the bite--hooking up hard or about normal?

10-21-2005, 06:17 AM
Hi Craig...I don't think we have found "short enough" quite yet. The track is very bitey in the turns and seems to allow any chassis on it to hook up. We haven't done all the testing we need to as of yet and expect to find out more in the next few weeks. The next series race on this track will be January tth and 8th and we are expecting a pretty good crowd. I suspect that will be a weekend of answers as well.
