Has anyone dabbled in direct drive systems? Here is my recent attempt, works great as a rail dragster once you figure out how to keep the tires from flying off the hubs

Well, not having a decent "red light", at 24volts, the best is .35 and the average is .42 (out of 10 runs) on my 1/8 mile. The .35 might of red lighted.......lol

My question is why would you want direct drive?

oh, just for the fun of tinkering and in the case of drag racing no more stripped gears when I use neo motor mags.
