SRT neodymium traction magnets ?

It is my understanding that the only difference between the Tomy Turbo cars and the SRT cars is that the SRT cars have neodymium traction magnets (also the BMW M1 has a 25 tooth crown gear instead of 22). Correct me if I am wrong.

Can the Turbo cars be retrofitted/upgraded with the neodymium traction magnets and if so where can they be purchased?

The SRT is available with both gears.
It is only the magnet that makes it any diff from a Turbo.

I sell a plastic bar with neo dots inserted which you can buy on it's own, the only other way to do it is buy a whole chassis...

I agree. The only differance between the two is the SRT comes with a 25 tooth crown and Neo ground effects magnet.

Try Bud HO to see if they can get you the SRT neo magnet or see if Scaleauto will sell them to you.

A word on the crown gears, I like the 22 tooth tubro back gear better than the SRT 25. It seems to smooth out the handling and adds more top in speed.

I use these in my SG's too.
