Doug, the best way to insure you have enough 27 and Open racers to split the classes into Amateur and Pro is to announce ahead of time you will be running Am and Pro for each class and buy plaques for them. Don't wait till race day.

Terrific, thanks Doug, now all you recent Port Jeff/NEUSRA/Yankee OMO racers who have accumulated 2 or 3 open motors I want to remind you 2 motors is probably sufficient to run a Semi Pro main at the BarnBurner. I am pretty sure that Paul C. usually only used 2 motors to win the Pro 7 main at the 3 BB's he won. So no excuses get out there and race. You can even race OMO on Sat. night and rebuild for Sunday.

Now even more reason to run a Am Gp27 and Semi-pro race. I also got a call from Kerry Champion, he will be making his return to wing racing at the Barn Burner!
Better start thinking about building some of that Big Boy $hit!

The Barn-Burner...a race event during the week that I can attend.

I never, ever though I would be saying that...but running a race track makes racingf on weekends nearly impossible.

Though I'm still a bit short to see all of the Port Jefferson King Track I hope to be there on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for some racing...

Maybe this year I can sit on a big box or something?

Is there open testing on weeknights Doug?

Just got off the phone with Seldom Seen and he booked his room for $40.00 a night , thats a 3star room on priceline.com.
Thats about the cheapest I have heard.

Rick, Skinner is going to build you a box. No worries!

Ronkonkoma

Normally puts me in the holiday inn next to the Mcaurther airport. Pretty nice place and it's within 10 min. of the raceway
