i am running 4 and 4 1/2 nascar mostly at Buena Park. I am running 11:37 for gearing and 50degree proslot and BOW arms in the parma setup. I run ballistic for like 10-15 laps and then the motor heats up and slows down a lot. My air gaps are .580. I have the timing all the way advanced. I was wondering if the gearing is correct for buena park and if you have any suggestions on getting it to run cooler. Thank you!

A general rule for 4.5 is, you will have to go up one or two teeth in the rear because of the bigger tires. The gearing you have is a bit high. I would go with 11-39 for 4" and 10-37 for 4.5. If that does not work go 10-39 for 4" and 9-36 for 4.5. If that still does not work go 9-37 for 4" and 9-39 for 4.5.

If you are at BP tonight or tomorrow (Nov. 22 & 23) come over and introduce yourself to me and I will try to help you out.
