I am looking for Dan Gurney decals for a vintage 1/24 Nascar Ford Fairlane lexan body. I have found water slide decals but I want regular decals. Where might I find some?

Regular decals ARE water slide decals for most of us... What do you have in mind, stickies?

Yes Iguess stickies is what i should refer to I want to run this body on a tri-oval all the bodies I race there now take alot of abuse. I am afraid that water slide decals could not with stand this type of racing.

I am sorry, such decals only exist as waterslide. You may consider uising a clear coat of polyurethenane over them once well dried.

Clear packing tape applied over the Decals makes them pretty much indestructable.

"That's almost as discreete as BODY PINS!"

Actually, when properly done,it looks exactly like"normal"peel and stick decals.

Plus,it's"only"a vac body,so who cares, like Big Mike says"I want to run this body on a tri-oval all the bodies I race there now take alot of abuse. "

Sure,it's only on Wing cars I object to body pins,it really detracts from thier Scale Appearance don't you think.:p

Mike:
Try applying the waterslide decals on the inside of the clear body with a little decal set. (front side outwards of course) then clear coat over them to seal before you paint the body. (so no paint leaks under). Your decals will be very safe between the body and the paint.

Thank you guys for the tips F1nutz the one sounds realy good. I am not sure but I might have just located some peel and stick Gurney decals however. I am waiting for a response from the owner of these decals they are reproduction of the Cox Gurney slot car.
