WOW! Sounds like a really great program. Excellent work Doug & crew! And all 12 and under! Awesome. Were these all locals? Any from out of town?

I would like to see a more in depth report on this night of racing. IMO kids participation has been in a steady decline for years.

Just back from the Barn Burner and damnnnnnnnnn was it cold last night. With the windchill it had to be below 0. Got off the plane in Atlanta and it was 70 degrees. I'd like to thank Doug and the Port Jeff crew for putting together another great annual "Must Attend" event. I didn't have much racing luck this time but just being there with a large part of the wing racing family was it's own reward. The high point of my weekend was turning a 1.8 in Gp27 qualifying thanks to the use of an awsome Q motor from TONY HOBART. The low point happened late in the OMO Pro race when I took out BEUF in the deadman. He was leading the race at the time and most likely would have won had that not happened. Note to self.. In gp7 racing paint colors that you can see travelling at warpspeed.

I really enjoyed racing at the Barn Burner. I didn't realize Dougie is as entertaining at Port Jeff as he is at The Track.:D

Not withstanding my results (I have a plenty of excuses) I really appreciate the "unsolicited" help I received in the one motor box race from Tommy Flythe and Joe Redmond.

I have photos to upload, but I am waiting on Paul to clarify which gallery to upload them into.

I'm looking forward to racing again next year.

Had a great time as usual! This is definately my favourite event of the year. I hope we can race on this track again next year!!

I thought the track was the fastest that it has ever been, at least for me.

Thank you to John Waller for pitting me, and putting up with my rediculas demands between heats. If I could only blip the leadon every time I think my car would stay together better!! " we changed everything"!! LOL

Trevor, thanks for cleaning braid in both open races, and congrats on your semi pro win, that's awesome bro!!

thanks Beuf for balancing/zapping and koford for all my parts!

Doug, Pop, Derek, Chubbie, great job as always! Hurricane, you are my hero, and take care of my light!!

Chubbie, ALL those beers, lol

See you guys next year!

Thanks to all the racers that attended the 18th annual Barn Burner! Without all of you there is no race.
Thanks to all the sponsors
Thanks to Bill Skinner for helping host the race for 18 years.
Thanks to Erkle, Derek and Chubbie for all the late night building sessions.

Special thanks to Big Matt and Jimmy H, these two guys moved the tracks and tables and were my left and right hands all week.
Lem did a great job of running the races, which allowed me to work the counters and help racers.
So many people help and and support us, too many to mention but thank you all!!!!

I agree! ! !
This was a great race (as ALWAYS) and I would not miss it for the world. Many many Thanks go out to:
Doug Bauer - for having one of the best raceways in the NE and keeping the competition guessing.
Erkle, Chubby, Derek, Awesome Job on everything you guys did, from chassis to horse power, to cleaning braid and mid race support.. Thank you.
Skinner - for awesome tires and his dedication throughout the many years of this event.
Beuf - for his unreal reconditioning service and one Hell of a body for Box Stock
Brian Gecko Bodies - for a sweet I-15 body
As always it is/was great to see all my slot racing friends, who at this point and after so many years they are like family… and you know what they say about Family: you can pick a card, you can pick your nose, you can even pick a friends nose (not recommended) put you can't pick your Family. Love you guys, yes even my Canadian Brothers with different mothers. You guy/s make many a great memories..
Kudos to all who attended this great event and kept things fun and enjoyable throughout.

And last but most important: My wife of many years, for allowing me the room to be a boy again even though sometimes I have to hold my breath to get my way....I Love you all…

Larry, in order to keep racing you had to:
Buy her a house
Buy her a horse
Build a stable (nice job by the way)
Give her a child
Adopt another
Buy her a new car
Put in a new pool
Install the brick work
Feed the horses and clean the stables
Am I missing anything???????? I guess if it keeps you racing, it's worth it!!

All I ask for is free wiring on my tracks and a kick back on break in boxes. ;) :D She must have something, I don't!!!;) :D

I told you, you get the normal kick-back on all my NY purchases

She does indeed.. The ability to keep me in a semi straight line..

Congratulations Larry on your double header. Sorry I missed it.

I assume that you tested a million mills only to run "whatever" in the main...that was always a good strategy.

How's Big Red by the way?

How's Big Red by the way?

Actually, I built most of it the day before. tested a few and found what I liked. I did have some horse power thats for sure. funny you ask, Kently was breaking my chops cause I was cleaning cans and polishing them before the race and was askin if i can polish his cans, I told him it all in the polish, and once the race was over he asked if he could send me allhis cans to polish cause it must have worked...

Big Red, is good. It has been taken apart and rebuilt. That was the mill I ran in the Semi and it was strong as hell. of course I did load a newer arm in it and it was sweet.
