Has anyone used these big arms for drag racing? Should be a setup with alot of torque, but any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ive got one car using a Viper 16D big arm in a Parma rotor can. It is great, without a doubt my most consistant car; usually runs within 2-3 thou every time. It's also my fastest D can car as well. Haven't used my S16D big arms yet. Soon though. I'd say do it.

How fast does it run, and what kind of car?

I purchased a Viper 32 degree arm that I'll be installing into a PS - 2104 motor. Looking forward to running this combo soon. I'll keep you posted.

Edge chassis, lexan F150 body slammed pretty good, Protrack 1.01" 250-300 tires. Can't remember the gearing off hand (I'll edit it back in later). Depending on the track conditions it runs consistently 1.070 1/4 mile track. Last time out the track was freshly cleaned and it was running 1050's. Not sure why except the track is usually faster when freshly cleaned. Of course with the power difference at different tracks your mileage will vary. I'm real happy with the motor though and will soon be replacing the motors in my other cars. Just got to find the time to build.

Okay, ran this arm and here's what I ran with it. Viper 38 degree .560 arm, 123 grams mm/ps car, 1 /316 rear tires, 13/56 gearing, track 16v power, 1/8th mile. Made 5 passes in the .620 range, but the best was a .622 @ 47.23 mph.

Didn't have a chance to play with pinion or gearing. Just put the 13/56 combo on and ran it.

Anyone else ran this arm?
