I think it came up once before but...Does the SPEED FX S16D sealed come with gold dust brushes or are they look alikes. How do they work compared to the gold dust?

Phil,

They are not Gold Dust brushes, but rather stock brushes with the same crossed spring pattern on the spring end of the brush. As Kamen said, they are super soft, so pitch them in the trash.

Yup. Very soft. Not a bad thing for bracket drag racing... but back when they first appeared and no one knew any better, we had cases of brushes wearing out during a water break-in.

In case you get them mixed up, the Speed FX brushes are a bit wider than the Goldust.

to get stuck in a genuine old magnehone "Turtle" brush fixture. Hopefully, you have one of these Phil. If not, compare the color - genuine Golddust are perceptably darker.
