Just over a week away from some LMP action on the Anaconda in Ashland. Any guesses at what a solid qualifying time is going to be?

Not sure with Falcons. I better load one up and get practicing. We mostly fool around with our PS Minis
With a PS mini motor the basic record is Wingman at around 5.3

I was down in the 5.2's with a falcon last time I was there, and ran extremely consistent low 5.3's with the falcon LMP car.... That was only the 2nd time trying a flat track though... i'm sure it'll be much faster??

That's movin Ritchie. I might be selling Wingman short...he's probably been on the track since his 5.25 or so.
I, on the other hand, haven't been faster than 5.5 with a GP10 car. I'd better get squeezin'

5.25 is cooking. The best I have done with the PS Puppy Dog is 5.5230 on Yellow back in September. I have a feeling that once I upgrade to a Redfox Audi R10 shell I should be in that 5.3 range.
With that said has anyone been running a true built Contender motor? I've been thinking about getting a B.O.W. Contender built for the Nats. I know contenders are faster than the PDs but not sure by how much.

A new power supply will be under there, should see high 4's possible mid 4's for LMP. The track is 153'8" on orange lane.

Just for reference, my TQ run at Mid America in June was 4.956 in LMP, Roy was right behind me snapping at my heels. The Midwest Monster I think is 150'. Sounds like your estimate makes the Anaconda a faster track? I guess I'll find out when I get there in April!

I really think we will see something very similar to this. I've seen 1/24 Eurosports in the 3.8s on the Anaconda.

OK, at Mid America in June, TQ in Eurosport was 3.8, and a lot of racers ran in 3.9s during the race, so I think the lap times will be very comparable.

Those 3.8s were put up by Dr. V who felt that a well tuned Eurosport could be in the 3.5s. So maybe 2 tenths faster, maybe not...

Doesn't the Monster have a chicane at the end of the chute? At Chicks the first turn is a sweeper. I think lap times will be faster. You flat trackers will master it before the donuts are gone.

Great race Friday night with Don on my heals the whole time and around me for a few heats. Pretty impressive considering he was running a Falcon and I was running the Puppy Dog. I was top qualifier with a 5.7 something, I think Don had a 6.1 and change. Now I need to get a Contender built and ready. I also picked up a Mack Bulldog for GT-12 which is going to require a built GP-12 as well...

One of the nice things about slot car racing is that very little of the stuff is made in China. Falcon motors?! phooey!
6.1...didja have to say it? I guess I should have sprung for a new one. I figured I could do OK with one of the turds in my box....they were decent when I parked them a year ago...Oh yeah...I actually did win.
Ritchie and Mike would have smoked us.

I missed out the last time you were up here but, I have it on good authority that you're just generally wicked fast; that you killed on both tracks. The reporter was emphatic.
Keep us posted as to your next chance to make the drive and I'll do my best to gather our flat trackers for at least a GP10 shootout.
