Here's a thought: bringing the Scale Nats back to the west coast is FAIR. West coast 2008, Midwest 2009, East Coast 2010, Midwest 2011, West Coast 2012. Makes it seem fair to me to keep the location rotating across the country. I've had to fly the past three years....it would be nice if Herman, PG, myself and others could take a year off from flying. Just a thought....FAIRNESS.

James, I think you may have meant, "It's always not fair".

But there are always ways to be even more unfair to fix that!! Unfairness breeds unfairness...

No, it's fair sometimes. If the scale nats come back to SCR I might just make an attempt to race the euro classes

The shop has two really nice tracks to race on with well run race directing. Northern California is oh so nice! You're only a short drive from the ocean, the snow, the woods, and San Francisco. As if you needed more reasons!

Plus plenty of no hassle parking, Great coffee just a few steps away and a group of racers that love to laugh and know how to show out of towners a great time.

Did I mention the "Crush Burger"?

Come on out to New Zealand and we feed you oysters like you have never tasted before :) :) :)

They are the best in the world.

I think having it in the SCR Market Place forum works fine - especially for everyone using the "New Posts" button when logged in.

Having the thread in the SCR sponsored Market Place forum is also another reminder that SCR is a paying sponsor of OWH Slot Car Talk. :)

BTW - besides all the great places to eat... I've heard they have some pretty nice tracks in the raceway as well!

I agree SCR west coast 2012 east coast 2013 Speed Zone Raceway MT Holly. Maybe there should be a set rotation and West coast East coast and Midwest just the tracks from those locations are considered for that year .Now that would be fair.Takes all the back room politics out of the process.

I don't think you can really do that because you might not always have a track from that region voting.

Actually it could work. If the host region does not have a bidder than it would simply rotate to the next region that has placed a bid in the order of the rotation. Straight forward, simple and honest!;)

I know there are many posts about how the site selection process could go, but right now I need to clear up one thing. Black Bear Diner actually does have two tri tip dinners, Fred Hood and I had it while 3rd Eye Howard got a piece of pie. The menu at Black Bear lists the calorie count for each meal. The regular tri tip dinner was well north of 3,000 calories. I think that is a normal intake for one day if I'm not mistaken. The smaller dinner that Fred and I had was something like 1,700 calories. I just needed to clear that up because Frank was trying to say that Black Bear only has huge meals. I think the only fair way to choose your meals at Black Bear is to be seated in the West side of the restaurant for your first meal and order a small plate. The next time, seating in the Mid part of the restaurant and only order breakfast. Next rotation is to the East side and order the huge plate. I think that is the only way to be fair in eating at the Black Bear Diner. See ya at the Nats.

That would only be fair if you throw in the breakfast , lunch and dinner rotation.

The Black bear does have small meals!.....................Check the kiddie menu!
