Where's the web cam ?

I am also waiting with baited breath (is that from eating worms???)...

But I'm pretty sure that Jim & Dan are busier then... well... then a couple of raceway managers with a raceway full of racers! (I suck at metaphors) - and Jim probably just hasn't had time to get the webcam set up. I was tempted to give Jim a call - but if he's too busy to get the webcam going, then I'm sure he's too busy to spend time on the phone telling me he's too busy (or busy setting it up). :p

I have to admit - the webcam has got to be about bottom priority when it comes to hosting a big race event... but it does make it suck even more to not be there!

I'll be anxiously awaiting webcam, results, pics, & posts - along with anyone else who wished they could be there but couldn't - but in the mean time I hope that all that ARE there are having a great time!!!

Times like this is when I especially miss racing & hanging out with all my friends back at PSCR - a GREAT group of guys & gals!

Have a great race, gang - wish I could be there!

Thanks for the clips Roy !
Any chance of webcam coming live ?

The wide shots of the racing action are great, but the straight down shot of the bank doesn't do much as you can't really see anything. Of course that is just my opinion.

Still wish I could have been there.

Any results yet ?

I think the webcam is where it is simply because Jim is using the built in webcam in his laptop lid. His laptop is sitting on top of his pits in the corner. He rotated it a bit to see the GT-12 race on the Twister, but it is much too far away to really see much.

I posted that I was hoping Jim had time to move the webcam upstairs for the flat track racing... but then I figured it out. Last year we had the laptop & webcam upstairs, but used my webcam (it's here with me now). Since Jim is also working the shop & racing, it would be pretty hard for him to keep running up & down the stairs to check on the laptop if it was in the balcony. It would also have to be perched and facing the wrong way - making it not only hard to aim & impossible to use the keyboard.

Next time hopefully it could be set up with a webcam or two... but frankly, with only 3 or 4 viewers, that is just not a priority.

Here's the link to the live webcam feed:

Under the live webcam are a couple recorded videos of the Friday races.

Thanks for posting the videos on youtube Roy! Those are great!

If anyone at the track has time to call me up and read me the results, I could post them here. Trouble is, that everyone there is busy either racing, turn marshaling, or running the shop. I'm sure the results will get posted as soon as someone has time. Slotcar Racer will probably post something in his thread if he has time also.

As I said - I wish I could be there! :)

Hi Guys
Jim ,Dan and Sarah were super busy yesterday and we had some problems with the feed to the computer
I used my regular photography camera for the videos on youtube and just those clips used up 24gigs and both my battery packs
i mostly panned down just to show others watching where the cars went
Next time we have a big event i will take a wider angle lense problem with that as you know is the subjects get smaller
anyway as a drag racer I really enjoyed the races yesterday and all the new enthusiasts I met
Also a big thankyou to Diane and family for setting up an awesome lunch.

Thanks again Roy,
It was nice to be able to watch some of the action.
I hope to watch some of the live action today on the webcam if they can get it figured out.
