Smart Phone Users!

To all of you iPhone, iPad, & Android smart phone users...

I have just installed a new App for OWH Slot Car Talk forums so you can view the forums on your smart phone!

Only problem for me is.... I don't have a smart phone! Between myself, my honey, or her family & friends... I do not have access to an iPhone or Android phone to test out the new App to see how it works! DOH!

The App is called "ForumRunner", and should be available for your iPhone or Android smart phones. Other then that, I have no clue how or where you find the App, or if you have to install something or just click on the "Slot Car Talk" button (not here... but once you find it on your smart phone).

So... if any of you OWH readers with smart phones would like to take it for a test drive - please post any info or comments here and let us know how it works!

It's not bad. You can't do as much as you can when using IP.Board app. I didn't see a section to edit your profile but I'll use this app for a couple of days and maybe it'll grow on me.

Look into an app called Tapatalk. It's pretty highly reviewed and works on most of the smartphone platforms.

Not my fault! :p I just stumbled across the ForumRunner App while I was reading the support forums for blocking the spammers and for repairing other stuff. I guess ForumRunner doesn't like Blackberry.

We actually have an old Blackberry phone here (my honey "inherited" it from a customer who couldn't pay his bar tab), but I've just never felt the need to learn a new phone. It has a web browser on it, but I guess I have never felt like I just can't live without the internet during the rare times I actually escape from my PC at home. LOL

I also installed a killer App that I hope will help eliminate or at least reduce the spammer attacks. We've been getting hammered by some spammer in China lately, so I hope this "Spam-a-Matic" plugin will shut him down. But I'll save more on that for another thread topic...

I'll look into the TapaTalk App that Brassy suggested and see if that works with vBulletin (and if it's within my realm of expertise to install it).

vBulletin had it's own mobile version... but I didn't see anything on it this time around. Maybe they have phased it out in favor of the forumrunner app.

I was kinda proud of myself that I could actually install the plugin all by myself, without even having to bug my friend Jim Radford again for help this time. :)

So... before I feel like I've graduated into the lower levels of geekdom or something, I'm hoping to get some feedback from some of you smart people with smart phones to at least verify that it works ok. :)
