Hi,
8 years ago, just before quiting the Slot Car hobby... I had something like 30 brand new Super 16-D and Group 10 motors that used to be the fastest motors of our race track(sometimes it was almost embarrassing and I felt guilty to have this "rockets")!
In fact, there was a Trinity Group 10 batch of motors that was so good here in Montreal... that I started buying 2 of them and finally ended with several motors without disapointments!
Then, later came... Super 16-D magnets into group 10.
So my motors are quite slow now!! One would say... "just change the magnets!"
But most of my records still there. Perhaps I should try a new gearing ratio? We race at a 140 foot Ogilvie King track. I use to gear my cars for F1 JK chassis and Nascar cars around 9 - 31 for group 10. And 11 ? 38 for GTP S16-D
Now they are gearing 9 - 26 for group 10... Can I do the same wth my old motors without blowing up them?
What about my S16-D Motors? What gear ratio do you suggest?
thanks in advance.
