Paul,

How close do they tech the cars at Nats? Are they really anal as they should be, or are they as leniant as certain local raceways seem to be. Do they go by the rulebook or do they overlook the smaller details, i.e. complete painted 3 dimensional driver, front wheel wells left clear, 1 5/8th inch heighth on rear wing, etc. etc.

Thanks

I think they do a good job teching the cars. For sure they will always check the clearance, body height and width. These are either good or no good. They do check for other things as far as painted drivers but sometimes I would imagine they miss a couple.

Paul,

If at the Nats they don't tech that closley, what does that portray to people wanting to get involved in racing slot cars, but not really haveing a standardized set of rules to go by?

Is the USRA and there set of rules the adopted standard? And if so, why are they not standard throughout the country and strictly enforced?

Thanks
