Monty from BOW thought I could find a chart with the specs for all the different motor types being made. He said I could find it somewhere on the OWH board. Can anyone send me a link to something like this. I am returning to slots after 25 year absence and I am SO CONFUSED!! I am loving all the inovation but I want to learn as much about motors and classes as possable so I can find a direction. I am currently cutting my teeth on 4" Nascar but I do love GTP and Wings. Any help on helping me sort out powerplants would be helpful.

Hey Rip!
Maybe you can help. I asked this before but nobody knew. The old mura int. 15 evidentally is a d-can, could I put this in a d-can rotor setup? What magnets should I use? This motor is pictured in JKproducts.com under closeouts.
I would like to use them for bracket drag racing and haven't experemented yet, I hate to tear them apart if it wont work.
Thanks for any help!

They're old C cans.
Diameter will fit but not sure of length.......we used to run a Nastruck class that allowed for most ANY combo + I tried building a 16C(like Fastones offers). But it ain't that easy! Tried several mfgrs. before found the right combo of arms, cans, bushings, etc..
So not sure if the arm length will mate up to any of the D cans on the market?

OK the link was great for the armatures (only). How about information on cans and mags? Whats the diference and specifications on D, C, and strap cans? A basic summery of all the parts would be great for people just getting back into this sport. I fell like a just came back from a trip to Mars and everyone is speaking a different language!!

I felt the same back in '97 getting back into slots after a 10 yr break. C+ D can specs are pretty much outlined in the USRA & USSCA rule books. Staps, on the other hand, you have to record data on your own, obtained from the mfgrs.. Because of the nature of the beast, .459" diameter arms(smallest I seen race) to 1/4" stacks on MINI EURO arms! And v8 Cobalt mags. You name it! It's probably been tried. Rudy's Slick 7 Magnet Manual is where I started. Great reference! Be careful mixing mfgrs. and if you're not making(or specing) your own arms, then the specs on the arms vs setup are critical in straps. Hope this helps. Rip
