Hey Gang,
Did some "horsetrading" among some friends and ended up with a JK Scorpion. This is the one WITHOUT the pivot point ... I suppose its the original (before the II or III).
Anywhoo ... I have NO experience with this, or any other, JK chassis and wanted to know if anyone had any tips for setting this chassis up for a sealed Deathstar or sealed Super D class that runs on a 155 ft. Blue King.
What class would you guys recommend for this chassis?
-NASCAR (deathstar)?
-GR10 (deathstar/s16d)?
-GTP (sealed Super 16D)?
What class does this chassis work best with?
Any advice, tips and/or opinions are welcomed!
Thanks!

is unhinged. BEST BET use it for GTP on the king... light chassis needs the downforce of the GTP body...Scorp TWO is killer and drives better...best use of the "1" is a kids wing car s-16 or sportsman motor.

Experiment with the rod that goes through side to side. One gtp with hi sides liked it tight and a winged body with X12 motor liked it loose. It worked well enough to come in 6th out of 11 in box stock race. I mangled the box frame so put everything on the Scorpion just for fun! And I was laughin the loudest!!

I just started with a scorpion and found during warm-ups that if you do not set the stops close enough to actually stop the center pan it can get stuck all the way to one side. I am also letting the wheels touch before the pan so keep them oiled if you do to.

it depends big on what tracks they will be runnig on. do you have an idea on what tracks the classes are using

 I never got it to really handle with a Nascar or a lite downforce body. I even put lead on the side wings. I had to use the natural non treated harder tires and even narrow them.BUT put a wing body for Box Stock on it with no lead, X 12 motor, leave the body 1/4 in long with the tail at the back of the axil, .007 wings & tail.....and suprise...so how fast it is.
