c-12 motors are MUCH narrower because of the thinner magnets. the arm you have (ps 480 diameter) will work fine, but you will need a new set-up.

If I am correct, a C-1 motor has strap set-up with ceramic mags. Are the magents of a c-1 motor the same height as a strap 15? What is the normal timing of a C-1 arm?

c-1 timing on the white is usually 38 degrees. some have used 34 degree c-12 arms. magnets are usually i-15 type (rjr sassy singles, frontline, etc). speedshop was using quads at the AFTW's. c-1 motors use full ball bearings, shunts.
this is a fun, fast class that does not cost anywhere near as much as eurosport.

so wayne,(or anybody) how much faster is a c-12 compared to a c-1? and would it run well in the speed sport euro that i bought from you?

Hi Wayne!
So is it possible for me to use my Int 15 set-ups for C-I or is there a regulation on armature diameter. My set-ups are for a .480 diameter arm.
Also with the short magnets, does this mean that it is not advisable to use high timed arms?
Can anyone also recommend a good C-1 chassis.
Thanks

hi eap, are you really in the phillipines? where do they race over there?
anyway, i use a speedsport eurosport chassis that i got from wayne h. and it is a really lovely chassis. smoother than snake snot and really easy to drive- although i think that wayne's setup has a lot to do with that. if you get one, be sure to ask the seattle folks for particulars as to the setup.

eap,
your i15 will be legal - ANY ceramic set-up and ANY x-12 arm. aspIII is the chassis of choice for flat tracking (i used to use a speedshop eurosport chassis (which i sold to mudhen). it handles great. i simply wanted to take my racing program in a different direction. the aspIII is a great buy). put on speedshop-type up/down stops and get the front end as low as you can (the car should run on the skids (put some bullet proofing on the skids))
mudhen,
in fact the motor will fit better because a c12 motor is more the size of a eurosport motor than a c can.
as for speed difference, it will depend on the track you run. compare i-15 times to c-12 and that should give you a benchmark for king tracks. on our white, i bet they would be very close.

Hi Wayne!
We don't have Int15 racing here yet but correct me if I'm wrong, since a C12 wingcar is a lot faster than a boxstock 12, does it follow that an Int15 wing car is faster than a boxstock 12 wing car?
Hi Mudhen!
Yes, I am in the Philippines right now and this is home to me. We have a few tracks here both high speed and flat track. Our weekly racing schedule is Grp 10, Grp 12, Gt-12 and Boxstock 12. Once in awhile we have enduros at 15 minutes per heat using steel pans and S16D motors, Open/grp 27 wing car racing and Eurosport racing.
Most of our weekly races have sponsors like last night, we raced Boxstock 12 and the winners were given gift certificates to a fancy steak house here. This I guess gives the racers more incentive to attend and compete in the weekly races. Last night it was raining cats and dogs and I was thinking that only a few would make it but as soon as I got to the parking lot it was full. There were 20 guys signed up already for the race. Not sure whether they were after the trophy or the Black Angus steak dinner for that matter.
