Is it true that a super 16-D armature won't fit in a parma pink endbell setup due to armature diameter??

They used to fit. Hvent looked lately.
Supers are slighty larger diameter stacks and use thinner magnets, perhaps that is what you heard, the endbell color is not important.

I wonder if they will ever make a Lavender endbell?

i knew that the endbell colour doesn't matter but the mags in the two cans are different and the armature size is also different. I just wanted to know if a super fitted with the pink endbell mags.

There probably wont be enough of an airgap.

Ryan,
The armatures are generally .525-.530" in diameter including the hysol coating, and the thick mag setup has an airgap of at least .540". So, it WILL fit... but don't do it! The magnets are so weak that the armature will run very hot unless the track is extremely mild in power.

What about the old trinity cans that had the cross banding over the can openings. I was told they are great cans. Any opinion on this? Can you put a set of matched fastones 16d magnets in these cans? And what is all the stuff with endbell colors? Both Parma and Trinity made different endbell colors, what do they mean?

Hi
I buy them for the parts, so I was not aware that the pink only came on the regulars. I have white, brown, black, purple, blue and Pink endbells, and the differences, if any, are in which generation of hardware are bolted on!
The original reason for the green stack coating on the S16s was to keep them from being in a stock 16 set up and to be easily noticed.
I have a bunch of the old trinity cans as well, I cannot see there is a difference in performance.
You probably don't need the questions or answers here, just DO IT. I assume all motors are not factory built to my tolerences. Disassemble them, hand build them to the RIGHT limits. Always get a good one that way.
