I was wondering if anyone out here has tried the Zap Z-2 or the Zap Z-4 for boxstock yet? I have tried the Z-2 with some good results so far. I cut it 5 3/4" long and 1 1/8" high and cut the spoiler to 3" wide with a little tapper. This is what was recommended to me by a racer. My question to anyone is....What dimentions have you used on these body's? Do you cut the spoiler narrow and tapperd? I have some literature on a Slick7 chassis that tells me the Z-4 is about same as Z-2 but does not need to be tuned as much?? Why is that if they are so similar? Do you still need to tapper the spoiler  This question is for both glue and spray glue racing. What have you changed on the body from spray to full glue  Thanks for any help :)

I am using Z-2 in Boxstock/Gp12, very light spray glue, Tunkel King that requires a little driving. With the Zap semi-wedge #100 chassis, I am cutting 1/8" off back of body and then cut to 5-13/16" x 1-1/4"........ .005 sidedams front wing angle @17 degrees, rear wing height @ 2-3/8" on tech blck & 1-3/4" behind body... full width spoiler x 2".....1/2" on body, 1st bend @ back edge of body, next @ 3/4", 2nd @ 1/2", 3rd @ 1/4".......hard to find .005" spoilers, most are .0045" so I add a piece of clear 1-1/2"wide packing tape full spoiler width and install 3/4" on body & 3/4" on spoiler (to 2nd bend)......1/2" segment of spoiler is vertical when installed and last 1/4" comes forward like scorpian tail. A lot of body but very forgiving and raceable.......we/re finding on this track that lower downforce bodies like Vipers are on edge too often unless you're very experienced driver or we spray extra heavy. The O/S Vette with rib is within .01-.02 seconds of the Z-2 when cut to same spec Pay close attention to tire width, I found .05-.06 seconds by narrowing tires 1/32" and if using "fish" rubber don't be afraid to clean them with lighter fluid between heats in late stages of race.........good luck anymore questions contact Craig Landry @ Zap, he has a body info sheet.
I cannot believe some of the notes that people keep on their slot car stuff, it really intrigues me....i envy your homework skills Milton Gamble!!!
" hey hurricane, how long do you cut your body, i dunno, measure it and tell me" lol

In humor, I'm old enough that I can't remember well, so I have to keep good notes........I had the body in front of me. I was a draftsman for 13 years when you used a pencil instead of a computer. I did learn one lesson I've used for life, and that was good notes and reference material.
