After many other projects to finish up, I have finally finished up the Ninco original body I used for the Vac mold article.
It has been finished up as my entry to the 2002 Tasman Tiger Proxy race in Hobart Tasmainia. Had to rush to get it finished up and mailed off to them by the Aug 1st deadline.
It is based on a friends SCCA Prodified 1957 Porsche Speedster he ran for years in that class. here are some shots just before shipping off.
A little different car than the Chaps, Fords, Ferraris many seem to be entering.

Here is a shot of the chassis. It is brass /wire construction with a Inslot rear axle bracket, Slot-It gears 9x28, a shortened Cheetah can, a turned down Mura Endbell with hardware and brushes, and a Stock Slot-It 29,000 arm in it. It also has a Sakatsu trailing guide to get a longer rear axle to pivot distance for better handling.
I stuck an old commcooler on it to keep it a bit cooller depending on the power supplies they use on the four different tracks it will compete on.

It weighs in at 138 grams about 4.2 ounces. Body is mounted with two U shaped pins stuck in to the pin tubes on the body on each side to avoid the big pin head look, some dislike. I am glad it is done now I can get some other things done around here.
