Doug, what are the rules for 27 Light, I think they have changed since you last had the Worlds. Also will Cobalt 12 be expert rules, (multi mags) ?

Mikael Silén
11-27-2003, 01:46 AM
hey guyes....

we in sweden and finland thinks that you have forgott a warm-up for group 7.....?
i mean if you whant a realy good g7 race then we think that you would need a g7 warm-up race....

best regards mikael silén:D

ps! we will be there!!

11-27-2003, 10:36 AM

Doug - The schedule you posted here has Spec 15 starting at 9am on Friday May 14. The one you handed out at the last series race has Spec on the same day, but starting at 7pm - which is correct? (If you don't know the answer, the correct answer should be 7pm, right??;)

11-29-2003, 09:17 AM
yeah what is 27 light never heard of it

11-29-2003, 09:23 AM
I am also looking forward to the Worlds. By the way 27 Light is a steel chassis with single mag 27 set-ups.

11-29-2003, 11:50 AM
thanks J.Sohl Almost sounds like it ought to be called 27 heavy with the steel chassis and all

11-29-2003, 03:51 PM
Jonathon, therein lies the question. It used to be single mags and steel frames but if you look at the ESROC 2003 rules write up for World's classes the distinction now is spray glue and a limit of two motors a heat ( 2 for quarters, 2 for semi's and 2 for the main). That is why I asked the question. Maybe Gugu or one of the Europeans can help? I will look up the website for the ESROC rules and post them as an edit .

ps http://src.sophics.cz/esroc_rules2003.pdf

it loads slow though!!!

but then I found the rules for the Worlds at Brazil this year and it does say singles and steel but only 2 motors for the race so who knows,

Doug, I am sure you will figure it out.

27 light rules, I will check on. As far as a gp7 warmup race, I am thinking Wednesday May 19th at 9am, nothing else was running on the king that day. How does that sound Mikael?

Mikael Silén
11-30-2003, 02:00 PM
yeah that sounds great...
a lots of days to repair the used stuff for the big one!

mikael silén:D

Bent rim

12-20-2003, 01:38 PM
"huh?????", Douglas

:D  :D

12-20-2003, 05:17 PM
tracks for a and b prod? and and any chance gtp 12 being run on the hill climb?

01-13-2004, 06:44 AM
Spoke to Doug and he said that 27 Light would be single mags, steel frame and 2 motors per race ( for example 2 for a semi and 2 for a main). Also it would be run as an Amateur only race. Forgot to ask him if it would be spray glue but I think it usually is.

01-13-2004, 09:45 AM
Where are the rules for:
Adult Gp 10
Am Gp12
GTP S16d
GTP 12

Neither link provided has rules for the classes I am interested in.

01-25-2004, 11:56 AM

Mikael Silén
01-25-2004, 12:03 PM

03-10-2004, 12:51 PM
Am 15a sounds good to me..

Doug what are the rules on the motors for gtp12?

Bent rim
03-19-2004, 11:52 AM
Pro box rules on the motors. Must be a Flexi type chassis. Any HD or ultimate body is legal

Doug, is 27 Light spray glue? Also, are the Proslot 27 flat wires legal for World's competition or do the World's rules follow the USRA rules?

Bent rim
03-29-2004, 06:00 AM
Is in spray glue. No flat wires allowed. They follow the USRA rules.

Hey, Sohlman... why not ask Doug if he'll run a handout Falcon race so you can redeem yourself?

04-11-2004, 04:49 PM
Yeah that was a fun event. Even if we did have to change motors multiple times.

04-30-2004, 11:15 AM
I have the World's art, and also the schedule posted on www.portjeffraceway.com for all of those interested.

By the way, I hope to be at the World's and possibly run a few classes, if I'm not behind the counter anyway.

I always loved the artwork of the plaques and shirts from Port Jeff. I definitley cant wait to see the shirts

05-01-2004, 11:25 AM
Great artwork - as usual!

Unless the winner is going to be crowned the new Worlds "CHAP", then I think theirs a misspelling!

Hope their's time to get ahold of the artist before it goes to the printers!

(I think spotting that should be worth a shirt!) :p

See you "chaps" later.....

Which track is Open 12 on?

The post here says..

Tuesday........May-18th---Casra B Prod and Open 12.....7pm
(both classes will be run on the king)

But at http://www.portjeffraceway.com/ it says...

May 18th B Production 7 pm King

Open Group-12 To follow Hillclimb

Also will there be concours? and will there be one minute between heats like there is in ISRA?

Bent rim
05-03-2004, 05:14 AM
B production is on the king and open 12 is on the hilclimb. No concourse awards. One minute between heats is correct.

05-03-2004, 02:46 PM
well, guys i hope this is not to late!
g-27 light - 2 motors for race( single mags(only 400x400 or 400x440) any kind of steel chassis, yes combo is allowed if was sold on that way.machined cans are not allowed, thats is to keep the class at low budget!
see you all there.:p

05-04-2004, 12:58 PM
When ( and why) was the magnet size restriction introduced?Previous rules descriptions have simply referred to single magnets? This would mean that Alpha 365 x 425's would be illegal, as would 450 x 380's ?

Paul Kovich

05-04-2004, 01:05 PM
im,sorry nobody took care of that ,but is how was written since the class started.(2000)
they run once in pj 2 years a go and they should remenber that.

Paul Ciccarello
05-04-2004, 07:13 PM

i have a question about the warm -up race for the group7 on wendsday...

would´t it better to have that after the eurosport classes??

then the group 7 guyes have time for practice.....i think there will be many drivers in group 7....

i think some of the drivers will arrive on wednsday for the open classes...

one more question.....is it possible to practice in the middle of the night???

05-05-2004, 05:48 AM
GuGu, when you say 2 motors for the race, is that 2 motors for the whole race, semis and main or is it two motors for the semi and two motors for the main ( for a total of four motors for the whole race)?

Bent rim
05-05-2004, 06:45 AM
