I am interested to learn of the different methods of attaching body mounts (bullet proofing), interiors and general body reinforcing.

Would anyone care to post photographs or provide a primer on the subject? (Wayne H mentions it briefly in another posting, but I think the subject is worthy of its own post) :)

on wing thingz I uzually put a small zqare of body armor over the hole on the inzide of the body...and then put a peice of ztrapping tape over the hole and wrap it around to that outzide zo that it createz a crozzing pattern with the filiments

Zippity, it's to hard to explain in words. I should get Paul Kassens to come to the Speedshop workshop and take some pictures for the OWH as I mount and bullit proof a body.

I watched Lee mount some bodies a couple weekends ago. When he was done, he had 5 or 6 cars lined up & there wasn't a perceptable difference among the lot!

I'll add a body mounting / bullet proofing article to the list of article ideas I'd love to do with Lee for OWH. I'm hoping that sometime very soon I can get over to Lee's with my trusty digital camera and photo booth and get a bunch of shots and notes to do some much needed "how-to" articles.

I don't know if we can find another "Dona" for the bathtub chassis cleaning scenes, like in the old 1970's Car Model series of Lee's articles, but I'll see what I can come up with... :D

Hello Paul!

The "How to" articles are the way to go especially for the majority of OWH members who mostly rely on advises from the experts like Paul C., Lee, Monty, etc..
