Pro Cobalt 12 Main - Final Results

(Unofficial results pending post-race tech)

1 - Pat Ularte - 561
2 - Paul "Beuf" Pederson - 557
3 - Larry Blanton - 552 (by 2 feet)
4 - Reggie Coram - 552
5 - Randy Thompson - 551
6 - Greg Mills - 542
7 - Ron Van Wagnen - 504
8 - Jim "Spove" Sproviero - 449

A very exciting finish! Beuf had the lead, but in orange lane, his car kept popping and getting hit repeatedly.

As Beuf became increasingly frustrated, Pat cruised by in black lane, and took the win.

Larry Blanton also slipped by Reggie for the 3rd place podium spot by 2 feet!

A big thanks to Nathan Thompson for helping run me the lap totals!

Great coverage, mom.

Even better pictures. The best part is seeing Erkle so much. He is sooooooo sexy :p

Well done Pat - especially against the likes of Beuf. Respect.

I did not caption many of the photos, but the photo of Buef was in the closing seconds of the race. Buef had just gone from a comfortable 10 lap lead, to utter frustration while his car simply would not go around, and kept getting used for a volley ball, while Pat calmly snuck by on black lane for the win.

The raised arm was a very frustrated "GET MY CAR ON!!!!!!"

rather then the anticipated victory cheer.

Pretty cool stuff for me to finally win a race like this. And no one wanted to finish on Black?? I'm sure glad I did. I was just hoping to hang onto 2nd and then the wrecks broke out. My lane was clear and I just rolled around. I looked over at the monitor during a track call and saw my name on top. What a feeling, and what a relief!!! :D :D

LOL is it me or are the semi captions a little odd

Erkle "pulled out early"

and then

Mike Hunt "got creamed in the finger"

???? I thought this was a slot race no?

That was Dick Gazinya that pulled out early...

I didn't think anyone was paying attention.

Similar results for those two in the Pro Group7 Qtr Finals, along with Hugh Jardon, who just didn't rise to the occassion.

I guess nobody really pays attention to the qtr finals....

Larry
We had a good time. Maybe with a little more sleep, we could have done a little better. Them all nighters at the track catch up to ya after awhile. My semi pro car was good for about 3 min in the main. then looked like a pretzel after I creamed a car in the straight. Never the same after that. Mon. I'll try to quit the smokes

Thats a good option to have at a race like this.
