I liked Jim Hahn a lot! He worked on my motors for many years. He was always very friendly and he did very high quality work. I will miss him. Rest in peace, Jim!

Tony,
Beautiful job as always! Lot's of really nice photos. My favorite is the very last one in #7, Anna K and Pavel F.
Thanks as always!
Greg
It interests me that there has been no discussion here about this race. I wasn't there and unhappily followed the racing from afar, but a ton of interesting things happened:
* Jonathan Forsyth won...
It looks like the pan will come out with the guide wires in place if you unscrew the guide flag. Some other chassis that I used to use was like that. (Champion Turboflex or Astroflex maybe, I don't...
Whoops! My error! Thank you, Al!

The semis for 1/24ES were interesting: The C was, as often, not fast enough and nobody moved up. The top of the B was very fast and both Antonin Vojtik CZE and Vladimir Horky CZE made it in easily...
I normally wouldn't post about 1/24ES qualifying, but it was interesting.
Another of the Finnish kids TQ'd, Heiki Sinisaari at 4.644, but very many good drivers were spread out until about 5.2,...
Mike,
Wonderful! Congratulations!
Greg
I forgot #2: As has been the case for the past few years, the 1/32 F1s are getting to be really fast. The best lap time in the 1/32 ES final was 5.112. (1/32 ESs lap at about the same speed as...
I forgot: Yes, as noted above by Zipperi and Miman, the live feed and the results are just great this year! Thank you so much, Toomi!!
BTW, more of you likely know Toomi, aka Tuomo Iso-Aho, than...
Some of you may recall that while 1/24 ES is considered the main event, 1/32 F1 is very often the best race. Not so much this time. The first two were in 1st and 2nd pretty much the entire race.
...
Another excellent race at the ISRA Worlds. 1/32 ES. Jaroslav Recek (CZ) led from the second heat, Vladimir Horky (CZ) came back hard on purple in the 7th heat for second, and Olli Kantamaa (FIN)...
Rob,
That's funny! You have always been far faster than I ever was!
But the reason to race at the Worlds has little, if anything to do with winning for most all of us who go or have gone...
Wonderful news!
Yes, Jonathan won production at the first Chicago Worlds, now over 10 years ago. How partner then was Greg Gilbert.
Dominykas is a very nice young kid, one of the many...
Thank you!
Greg
Nice track!
Doug, do you currently also have a flat track set up?
Greg
It may be mostly European, but ISRA has a Hall of Fame.

I am so happy to see this!! Just exactly what US slot car racing needs!!
Can we set up a similar NASRA scale or flat track race?
Greg
Yes, indeed, I'm one of those racers. I'll drop out of this thread now with just this last sentence:
Since the high end eurosport controllers offer no advantage over the better usual...
I wouldn't own my current controllers if I didn't race eurosports. But there is no reason to ban them, as they provide no particular advantage in the so-called lower classes.
AND I wouldn't like...
I don't believe that either of my high end controllers are faster for lower classes in any way than the better currently available lower level e-controllers, of which there are a number of good ones.
CK,
Please read Steen's post with a more open mind. He is trying to answer exactly your question, as did Wallbasher above, who gave you a long list of features that the trick controllers have. ...
Beautiful photos, Tony! Thanks so much!
Greg
Nice run, Paul, Jason, and Gugu!!
Greg
Many things: loose motor, way too much gear lash, 64 pinion with a 72 spur or vice versa, very loose axle bearing or oilite would be the first things to check.
Hope this helps.
