    Amen to that!
Remember the lack of any credible evidence is proof the conspiracy is working!

Unfortunately.... I had planned on and looked forward to being at the Scale Nats, but I was unable to attend due to several various reasons that took priority.

Since I am managing a slot car store full time, my time to devote to race coverage (as well as race participation) has been cut down significantly.

I had arranged for juggling schedules so that I could be away for the Nats, but some unplanned personnel changes made that a bit of a shuffle.

However, my 89-year-old father has had health issues since suffering a stroke, and we have had frequent trips to Urgent Care, and numerous visits to the hospital for follow-up care. He's back at home now, but he has needed 24/7 care, so my son & I are doing our best to take care of him at home.

While our hobbies help us to briefly escape from the pressures and responsibilities of every day life, we are often reminded of the reality and fragility of life when occasionally slapped into consciousness by emergencies experienced by or affecting not only ourselves, but also our friends and family close to us.

It is those priorities that always take precedence - however it is so comforting that we can still fall back on the "escape" of our hobby, as well as the support of our friends, when hitting life's little bumps in the road.

I guess what I am rambling on trying to say is:
    "I'm sorry I couldn't be there."

I did call the raceway, and Greg Gilbert was kind enough to read me the 1/24 Eurosoprt results.

I called the next day and Greg was busy racing, but I asked if anyone could possibly grab a copy of the race results and call me, I would gladly call them back on my nickle (actually, free long distance on my cell) and I would get all the results by phone and type them up and post them. I suppose everyone was busy, because I never got called back.

I set up the photo gallery and Tony Moore gratiously volunteered to share photos with OWH readers, so thanks Tony!

It is at least gratifying that many OWH readers do have an idea of how much hard work it does take to publish all the race results and photos at a big race like the Nats. I think only a few people know how much work I put into the OWH "Almost Live" coverage, and how little sleep I get while attending a Nats. This is why Mark G. planned on me being there to proved coverage, and why some track owners have treated me like a King while promoting and covering a Nats.

So - if anybody in PA has squirrelled away copies of the race results to share here with readers at OWH - please post them - or PM me a number & time I can call you at and I'll get them over the phone and I will post them!

    Enquiring minds want to know!

... (even) more photos to come ...

    ... hang in there....

I have another 197 snapshots to go through which will cover Saturday's event. I'll post computer screen shots of the results of the Pro and Amateur GT1 consis, semi and main as well as photos of the Junior GP 10 racers.

    Many Thanks . . .

Many thanks to those who made the Nats possible, especially the lone THREE (count 'em) USRA officials that ran the all of the events all week, Chris Radisich, Bill Vanderziel and Paul Sterret.

These gentlemen gave their time and their own opportunities to concentrate on their races to make the event run smoothly. They were in the raceway most every minute it was open and worked on VERY little sleep.

In addition to the event responsiblilities, they each gave their time and knowledge to make others more successful by helping tune cars and answer questions.

THANKS again from one who benefitted from your efforts!

    Mike Kravitz
