Hi,
I use an Iwata HP-SBS and flip between a 0.35 needle\nozzle setup for very fine stuff and 0.5 for most other occassions.
I tend to spray up close so only use 15-20 psi
Cheers
What model air brush are you using ?
And how much air pressure do you spray with ?

Is this Painting 101 still available anywhere? The link doesn't work when I click on it.
Thanks,
Todd
Paul Kassens is in the process of moving things around to a new server. I assume he hasn't had the time to move this paint article & its photos yet. I'm not aware it was availabe elsewhere.
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.

If the sticky can't be refreshed are there any brave souls out there able or willing to do a step by step on painting 'tricks' lace, fogging, stencils and masking are just a few,I know much of this has already been covered 'somewhere' on the forum but seaching can be time consuming and much of what is posted has also lost the pix, again reading what someone does is not the same as seeing how it looks.
Tip on pix !
Open a new album on your photo host 'Postings' and apart from adding new stuff do'nt touch it then your posted photos will be around at least as long as you are,I post quite a few pix all over the web and I know that my pix never vanish,it uses up very little storage.
See posts 36 and 37 to download a .pdf file![]()
I do need to redo the online version when I get time... but I thought I had changed all the links to the pdf version.

Many thanx for the pdf.
BTW - The pics were also posted on the OWH Slot Car Gallery.
OWH Slot Car Gallery - Painting 101
I'm still not sure where you were seeing the pics not loading??? - I'll have to look again and then replace the pics from the gallery.
The pics were probably posted here before the gallery was moved, so the photo links disappeared. Slapshot converted the article to pdf format, so it can be downloaded, printed, & used for lining the paint booth (or birdcage).

Actually Paul the PDF version was converted by Mike Wierman at Funtime raceway with Craig's permission.
I suggested it only, to both of them as Mike had a PDF editor converter.
He needed a paint training artical for most of the Newbies.
Lucky he did as the artical was lost for a while during the server change.

Hi, I have a 1:32nd scale Cox Cheetah that has a lot of paint on it and would like to remove all that old paint and repaint it. What could I use to strip off the old paint that would not hurt the plastic body? It was painted with Testors spray enamel.

Some of the guys at RED DEVIL RACEWAY Have had some success w/ soaking the body overnight in PINE SOL cleaner !!OR try a non acetone fingernail polish remover , on a rag ...
THEN don't forget to remove the cleaner residue with a mild soap OR DENATURED ALCOHOL... I paint w/faskolors acrylic & top coat w/a gloss lacquer spray can !
TRY IT ..
