You can fly into San Francisco or Oakland, both are about the same dist.
    Trevor,

I think you might feel more at home if you chose to fly into San Francisco. Make sure and wear your gay pride t-shirt and you will have no problems finding a ride

    airports

Try both OAK and SFO as sometimes OAK does have lower fares and less traffic, but SfO probably has the best chance af a deal and it is a Nice ,but big airport. You can get a Airporter bus that is good and comes up to Sonoma county(where SCR is) and is cheap, check on schedules............ Also think about a room, they are not to bad in pricing but can fill up quick,THIS Is" THE WINE COUNTRY" Any room in Rohnert Park is within 5 min. Even Santa Rosa is 15 Min away, Check our website SCRHOBBIES.com Frank S . I CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

    Pit Space

The track should have plenty of pit space for the big race. A few weeks ago we had over 160 entries with over 60 drivers for the NORCAL SCRA race and had plenty of room.

As for the start times, you might call/e-mail Frank. See you at the nats!

were you at the same race

I have to admit I am a bit worried about pit space. Yes it is a lot better that it used to be but the were guys doubleing up in pit spaces at that race because there was not enough. Some of the problem is because some guys like to spread out and use a lot more room than they should. Also when you start adding little tables hear and there for more space it starts to get difficult to move around the tracks.

    not to worry, my man...

...pit space will be available with a little organization. If we have to, we'll bring a trailer to the back of the store. Hokay, bunky?

    Compressed Pits!

    Nats Dudes!!!

Just plan on bringing a little more organized box and figure out in advance how you will set things up in your limited space.

I am one of the biggest "space hogs" out there but I know I can scale down to a smaller space as I attended Slugfest 5 times at Kirk's place in Puyallup WA and we had only 24" of space to work in.

Also, have as much stuff "in the box" as possible so you don't have to spread out to "thrash" as much.

    Everything will be OK.

    Mr Pickle

    Nats Dudes,

On my last visit to Rohnert Park I took the short trip to Petaluma to sample the cuisine at my arch rival, Paul Gawronski's new sandwich shop, "Mr Pickle's".

I was truly impressed with the sandwich I had and enjoyed it very much.

I reccomend Paul's place and even bought a green "MR PICKLE" T-shirt.

The place is decorated with racing and sports memoribilia and is pretty cool in my opinion.

Try it while you are at the Nats!

PS, this is not an official USRA post.

Hey, Thanks Greg! I'm definitely going in for a sandwich and I would be too stupid not to buy a Mr. Pickle T, given my nature to get into one, now n then...maybe Paul would consider shuffling off some of his 2nds (slot cars) for a day of mobile slot racing at his store before the NATS...

I don't think you should wear the "Mr. Pickle" t-shirt anywhere near san fran... You might end up getting slammed in the rear by a "Euro", and get a little "bent". It always seems like the guy that gets "bent" is always more upset than the guy doing the bending... Why is that?
