After a long and very intense Amateur Group 10 event, it was late and everyone was pretty tired. The Pro 4.5" NASCAR event was more like a party then a race, and there was a lot of laughter throughout the race.

Paul Ciccarello was feeling better today, and was going to race, but he was still having occassional coughing fits, that would cause him to pass out. Paul C. requested if there could be a track call if he should pass out during the race. Race Director Frank said that was ok - but that if Paul passed out on the track, he would be penalized 5 laps. (What a guy) LOL

One of the Burnside boys voluteered to stand behind Paul C, so that just in case he did pass out, he could catch him.

Duran's car was awesome and he dominated the race, and several drivers made trips to the pits in search of more horseower between heats. There was not really enough time between heats for motor changes, however, and they usually wound up starting late and losing time. Jay Guard and Paul C. both were fast, but both lost time with late heat starts, putting them out of contention.

Duran once again showed that winning Concours is not always a "curse" as he won both Concours and the race for the 2nd time at this Nats.

As soon as the race was over, the awards were given out, and everyone rushed out of the raceway to get some much needed sleeeeeeeep.

The Pro 4" NASCAR race is first thing in the AM.....

Yes, an Ogilvie with a flat deadman & lead on. Very smooth track, low power @ 13v.

Racing was very close & clean for all classes. Good racing throughout.

The C-12 race is one I will need to post Mark's photos of, as I finally got some sleep during that race.

I really regret missing seeing it, as I heard it was great... but I had barely slept in several days.
