    It could have....

been brain failure from driving so long...lol

I will agree with everyone there that this was one of the funnest races I have ever been to. It also helps that you do not have to work on anything.

Just the smart *** remarks and all the crazy stuff that happened made the weekend well worth while.

I agree. It was a great weekend. I just wish I would have ran red better in the last heat of the group 10 main. Were those your hands I could feel around my neck Jeff? I would turn around and do it again this weekend!

    Talking Parma/Scalextric!!!

I see Alan Smith from Scalextric was at this event. Would'nt it be really neat if Scaly and Parma teamed up to make a series of realistic 1/24 cars? Have the detail and durability of a Scalextric with the HANDLING, speed and repairability of Parma. Maybe an F1/Indy series, a Nascar series and an American musclecar series.
    I guess I'm just dreaming.

great coverage paul, i was entertained while sitting here reading your posts. and also, great job at the race.

    later
BTW, it seems you know more about your races than the others, and you talk about yourself in your races then others. LOL
    just kidding paul.

LoudCat, Matt Z missed is bus from Grants Pass OR and therefore missed his airplane from Seattle. On his Southwest ticket they wold not allow him to fly standby and wanted over $500 more to fly to the Parma Race. So, Matt lost his ticket money, his Parma Race and had to go back to school for the week. Talk about a lose, lose, lose situation. Let's just hope Matt can find his way to Seattle for the American Flat Track Worlds.

OK Gil ... how about a "Top Ten racer comments overheard in the men's room" list?

The floor was a mess when I saw it. Must have been a lot of mis marshalling while they were standing there??

    That was...

actually from Bob running back and forth to the restroom during his marshalling and asking other people to marshall for him real quick....lol

Hey, Itch, did you ever find a swimming pool?

aaaahum,............ Seems to me I remember sending some nice young lady named Sue to go get her boyfriend who was late for his marshalling assignment. He was supposed to be at a seminar but maybe he was actually the one who was hosing down the floor in the head??

    Smile Pit Stops

With there being so many Geezer entries this year the "run to the restroom" was more evident than ever. I think the wet floor came about when I mentioned to Paul about the lane sticker assignemnt per urinal and he began laughing and missed the target!

Last year while Shadow and I were in the bathroom I peered over the divider and mentioned that I was glad to see that he took his controller glove off while doing his business :-)

This year was better than last year as far as people enjoying themselves. This is a fun based series that allows the racers to focus on just driving. No thrashing between races to get another car ready. I can heartily recommend it. I was looking forward to meeting Matt Z, too bad things did not work out, maybe next year he can come.

Well ... some of us still had to thrash. I haven't seen so many
blown coms since my last USRA NATS! Other than that, the maintenance was minimal and I did get to socialize some.
Just gotta drive a little better ... these so called "geezers" are
    still quite competetive!

    Glad y'all enjoyed it!
