    Results from North Gallery Raceway Sunday Double Elimination Bracket Race and Quick 8, 1/8 Mile Strip

    Bracket 40 Entries

    1. Bryan E. Dodge Status, Parma Edge, Parma 502
    Dial In .758 { Lexan }
    2. Tyler D. 69 Corvette, DRS Bracketmaster, Parma Rotor, Pro-SLot 16 arm
    Dial In .765 { Hardbody}
    3. Jim V. 57 Chevy, Fast Eddy Wire, Parma 502
    Dial In .978 { Hardbody }
    4. Tyler D. 69 Chevelle, DRS Bracketmaster, Parma 501 Can, PS S16 arm
    Dial In .798 { Hardbody }

    Best Light Steve K. .500 Tyler D. .500

    Bryan goes unbeaten for the day with the Orange Stratus. Tyler came back from the second chance brakcet only to redlight in the final against the Stratus. Tyler was hitting the lights hard, but Steve beat him to the money getting the first .500 for the day.

    Quick 8 8 Entries

    1. Bryan E. WRP GTO, WRP FE Wire, Koford Drag Can, Mura Mags, Koford
    Group 20 arm 46 degree ET .627
    2. Bryan E. WRP T-Bird, WRP FE Wire, Koford Drag Can, Mura Mags, PS G12
    ET .626
    TQ Bryan E. T-Bird ET .626

    Bryan gets the double win for the day. In the first round he runs a fast .593
    and in the second round backs it up with a quicker .583. The .583 time is the quickest time recorded at NGR for a NGR rules Quick 8/16 car. After Bryan swept the second round there was no one to race but himself. Leaving the win to the faster ET in the second round. The King of the Hill pits last weeks winner Jim V. against the quick GTO of Bryan's. Jim cuts a .429 light on the pro tree and leaves Bryan sitting at the line. Bryan's quicker .621 Et to Jim's .647 wasn't enough to overcome the poor light. This gives Jim, King of the Hill rights for the second week in a row.

    North Gallery Quick 8/16

    Having a 1/8 mile track and wanting to keep costs down. We decided to allow only C-can motors with ceramic magnets and armatures up to Group 20 wind. We run a pro tree, heads up racing. Any chassis/body combo is allowed. Ball Bearings are allowed on motor and chassis. We run the King of the Hill heads up also. Quick 8/16 winner vs the winner of the King of the hill race from the previous week.

    Sunday during Quick 8 competition Bryan E. broke the Quick 8/16 record of
    .583 ET on North Gallery's scale 1/8 mile track. Bryan ran a .549, backed up by runs of .555 and .557. The record was set using the same chassis and motor he had set the previous record with. Bryan switched to a DRS Camaro
    Funny Car body over the Pro Stock body he used to set the .583 time.

    Jim V. places three cars in the podium positions, all without a loss on the day.
    Bryan was his only challenge, but Jim shut him down in the second chance semi final.

    Quick 8, 9 Entries

    2. Steve K. Dragster

    TQ. Bryan E. DRS Camaro F/C, WRP Sidewinder Wire Chassis, Koford Drag G-12 Motor ET .549 New Track Record

    It looked like Bryan was the man to beat after running a 549 and 594 in qualifying and backing it up with a 555 in the first round of racing. But the big bad red light popped up and gave him a loss after a 558 run to Steve's 606 ET. Once Bryan was out of the way, Steve cleaned up on the rest of the field for his 1, 2 finish in Quick 8. The King of the Hill pitted Steve against last week's KOTH winner Dan E. with his Ford Probe F/C. The lights dropped and Dan got the jump with a .431 to Steve's .456 on the pro tree.
    Dan also had the H/P when it counted edging out the Vette with a 618 to a .625 ET. This gives Dan three weeks in a row at the top for KOTH.

    Two weeks in a row for Jim, his win came when Tyler broke the beams early. The Best Race of the day when to Tyler and Tom. Tom cut a 500 light with Tyler following him out with a 502 reaction time. Tyler pushed Tom to the limit causing the Tom's Cuda to break out. Tyler ran a 847 Et on a 845 dial for a .004 package, with Tom running a minus .004.

    Quick 8 8 Entries

    ET .596
    2. Bryan E DRS Camaro, Fast Eddy Wire, Koford Group 12
    ET .554
    TQ Bryan E. Camaro .554

    The Finals place number 1 seed Bryan against the fifth seed of Tyler. Bryan sits at the light making sure he doesn't redlight with his faster car. But he gives up to much as Tyler cuts a .423 light and holds on for the win. The King of the Hill race was scratched because this weeks winning car is the defending KOTH car. Dan E. will carry the KOTH crown into next week
