I've been using cobalt setups built or repaired by BOW for a year now. They are nothing short of superb. I've had excellent results with them (2 x wins and 1 x 3rd place in Aus, top 10 in OMO at the Worlds.) The workmanship has to be seen to be believed, and the performance is second to none.

I've had some setups repaired too, and it's the best money you can possibly spend. That old, knackered, broken setup comes back looking like a brand new motor.

    Kudos.

i do all my own cobalt motor repairs........its good fun!

getting it done profesionally though will make it much quicker and alot neater.

Got a bit of a question. Have you seen those "cobalt" magnets for C cans on ebay? They are only like US$25 a pair. Would it be worth getting them modified and cut for an open setup?

    Haven't seen them...

... so its hard to comment. It would seem that even after a lot of rework, you'll just have big singles. Multi-segmenting seems to be the ticket nowadays, no?

I fiddled around with those ebay cobalts in a falcon cut down can with a proslot mini motor endbell. Shortend the mags to .350 and used an old proslot euro arm 480. dia 26/26 . Honed it to .502 and put it in a retro pro car for ****s and giggles. Geared 6:1 it runs like a gt12 on steroids.
