    Sorry Zip....

Believe me - I wish I could have made the trip. I had planned on being there right up until the other day, but it's simply way too busy here at the shop for me to take off for the week.

I'll do my best to get the results by phone, but otherwise we will need to be thankful for any of those who did go to the trouble and expense of making the trip (and taking time off work), when time permits, to share any pictures or post any info.

Please keep in mind that for most of those who did make the trip, their priority is to RACE. When they do have the time to share pics and info, we should appreciate that they took the time to do so.

Frank has assured me he will get results posted, get someone to post them, or read them to me by phone (which he has) - but as the race host, shop owner, race director, sales manager, repair department.... and RACER - Frank is keeping plenty busy, and I appreciate any time he can spare, if any.

I'm sure MG Brown & Slapshot will be snapping pictures and sharing here when time permits... and I'm sure Mark Manion will be busy shooting pics when not racing or race directing.

    Patience grasshopper...

Sorry Paul, I wasn't having a "go" at you

I know that I am not alone in wanting "immediate" results and photographs. Ungrateful sods, aren't we?

    Well done Colin

Nice finish and good to have some hardware on that side of the house in the Chicagoland area.

You bet Colin, congrats on your finish!!!

Your a good kid and a good racer that's for sure! Let's not forget my NORCAL/SCRA president "Bluey" on his first place "wood" also!!!

Seeings how myself, and Durly are now "official" USRA members ....

OK..... We had to join to play at Frank's gig.....

.... As far as the "Buying & Trading" of parts goes..... We just "GAVE" each other the needed parts

I took a lot of pictures, because that's what I like to do when I'm at any slot race As all of my fellow NORCAL/SCRA friends know, I race the GT-12 class and just hang out on race day all day long and shoot the BS and have a great time! The Nat's were no different in how I handle my day at the track . The two days of pictures that I took will be posted here, tomorrow.

    As always, Dave

Thanks, Brother Dave, for this fine post.

You know, now that I am an official USRA member (#10053 and proud of it), come to find out my USRA membership card is great in everyday life. 10% off any entree at participating Red Lobster™ restaurants. Express check-in at major airports. Two-for-one Margaritas at Outback Steakhouses™. Upgrades on weekend rentals at Avis. And I've just started! Wherever I go I just flash 'em the USRA card. After the knowing nod and smile of the clerk, I simply wait to see what happens next.

This morning I came upon a crime scene in town. Looked pretty big, too, with FBI and local cops all over the place. I just lifted up the yellow tape, walked right in and flashed my USRA card, pretty much like I am in the pic. Some Federal guy said "Ah, glad you're here, maybe YOU can make some sense of this". I couldn't, of course, but it was nice to get the respect I deserve as an official USRA member.

If only I'd known about this sooner!

Oh, by the way, just so the history books are accurate, in the Amateur GT12 race both Randy Keil and I finished with 248 laps. I managed to snake him by half a lap to take Eighth place. I felt kinda bad, as I like Randy a lot, and we were having a blast going back and forth in a battle for 3rd in the B Main. "Battle of the Bottom-Feeders" is how he referred to it. But then I got a plaque for 8th place, and I didn't feel so bad. He ate it Tuesday. I'll eat it every other day.

Hey Frank! Thanks for making my first Nats a total blast!

    Durl

    Ya know, brother Durly.....

I used my USRA membership card (#10055) the other night, comming up to the Bay Bridge's express toll lane. I just flashed it and kept on trucking, I tried to use it again yesterday. It seems that NORCAL D-3 dosen't honor this card and I was denied the 10% discounted entry fee that I was seeking. Oh well, I know card's limitations now.

My Nat's "BIG ADVENTURE" started on Sunday, "The Ghetto" is where I was pitted along with other fellow brothers.....

Inside "The Ghetto," with lots of very cool past Nat's "T" shirts that are on the wall....

Late Sunday night, or was it early Monday mornning? we were at the world famous dinning establishment known as Denny's. Hey Durly, I wounder if the "card" is honored here?.....

We have Gu Gu asking me if I got milk? while "The Crash Codger" and Chris Radisich A.K.A "The Flying Kiwi" and Gu Gu's buddy Alex Lete all are laughing along! It was a late night that's for sure.

The next mornning came very early as one mite expect, some of us had sand in our eyes. Thus making reading signs....

    Next to impossible...... LOL!!!

It was 1/32 day at the Nat's,the action was very cool and very fast ......

Here we have Frank himself during qualifying....

Here we have Frank, performing some battery maintance.....

Mike Rocha, and Herman James watching qualifying.....

Herman, and Mike after the dust had cleared, proudly displaying the "wood" they had won in 1/32 .....

Here's "Howey" the "3rd eye" guy, adding another power jack (12 volts) to my power supply. He liked the idea so much, that he just mite add it to his power supplys.....

Howard, and myself were pitting next to each other in "The Ghetto", we race together in our NORCAL/SCRA series. Here's another action shot of Howard servicing Gu Gu's "3rd eye" controller. Man, look at all of them wires.....

Here's Gu Gu showing his love for Howard and thanking him for the srevice work on his "3rd eye".....

Greg Gilbert A.K.A. "The Slider" just kick'n it, I sure liked "Foamy's" ride there Greg!....

Here's Duran "Wing Car" Trujillo..... LOL!!!! It was great talking with you Duran during my stay at the Nat's.....

Yet, another fellow "Ghetto" brother, Mike Williams of "Hot Slots" Mike's daughter, Cortney is a sweet heart. I'm sorry, I did not get a picture of the two of you together Mike.....

It was great to finally meet Lou "Gorski" Pirro! I have talked with him on the phone and his wife, Marybeth. I have bought stuff from them in the past, very nice people indeed ! It was a pleasure Lou, you are a true gentlman!....

This picture proves that the fastest car does not always win, or the one I like: "That's Racing".....

I used Brian Saunder's latest chassis, Parma H.D. Lola, Lee Gilbert wheels with Alpha soft rubber, 72 pitch GT-1 gears. A Gu Gu can and endbell, with ProSlot Mega III magnets, and a ProSlot 45 degree arm. (Thanks Dan!) Assembled by your's truely .

Here's three guys that I race with in our NORCAL/SCRA series. They are a pleasure to race with, they are a pleasure to "hang out" with at the track and shoot the BS! They are just some "Cool Cats".....

Jason Hooper, that race's with us when he can from Reno, it's always a pleasure Jason chill'n with you! I'm glad you had a great time!!!.....

Ryan "Vegas" McDaniels, I call him "Fly'n Ryan" anyone that runs a power supply like this is just too "Cool-4-School" besides being FAST!.....

Randy Keil, a fellow NORCAL D-3 racer also. Randy, the "BIG DOGS" were a hit at Harbo's! Randy, you know yourself, you just got to love that "Pirate Booty".....

Speaking of "Pirate Booty"..... My buddy "The Crash Codger" brought me a life time supply of it! Well almost, my son's seem to like it just as much as everyone else!.....

Now, here's a picture worth a thousand words, only at the "Nat's".....

To Frank, and to ALL at the "Nat's". Which, some of you I did not get pictures of You are all "Cool Cats"! Thank you for making my "BIG ADVENTURE" one that I will remember the rest of my life time

    Respectfully yours,

    Dave Larsen,
