    2008 NATs Photos

    Hi All
First off I want to thank all the racers and other supporters and SPONCERS that helped make the 2008 Div II Nationals such a great success.
The racing was top notch and new track records were made. You really missed if you were not at the races. But the photos and race results will give you a good taste of this year’s fun and excitement.
Photos can be viewed by going to the Slot Car Raceway web site at www.scrhobbies.com
and click on the NATs Photos button.
More photos will be added as they are sent to me from the others that were also taking photos, so check back over this next week for more pix. I will also be adding titles to the images, but right now I am going to sit back and relax.

    - Mark
P.S. I am uploading photos now, they will be viewable in 2 hours.

    As always, Mark, NICE PICS!!!

I'm a bit jealous - but mostly envious. Besides the fact that you are obviously a professional photographer, you manage to capture the look and feel of being there with a certain flair that is hard to describe, but always stands out.

Your pictures make me wish I had made it there, but also do a fantastic job of capturing the "magic" that is "The Nats".

Gill & Zip in NZ should be even be happy now (Zippity will be ecstatic if you have time to add captions)

Concours pictures, chassis pics, podium shots, and tons of people pictures that capture the competitive spirit as well as the camaraderie that makes the Nats - and especially this Nats, so special.

    Nice job.

Great photos Mark, thanks for all your hard work throughout the nats.

You picked a great time to take the photo of my pit!! It really was cleaner than usual until I got sick.

    Hey Split,

Yep, still using the same can I squashed to make a iron holder at the Slugfest when we were there a few years ago. It's bought me a lot of podiums and wins since, so it stays until it's completely worn out, along with the brake pot.

The photos Mark took were after it got messy, until then it was the cleanest pit I have ever had a a nats, but after I got the flu it all turned to cr*p.

James, it took some doing, everytime I wanted something out of the plastic tub I had to move everything. I think where you were while you were there was better, but it was good to be in the main room of the raceway, and when marshaling I was almost always right at my pit, apart from during the great Bluey marshal shuffle during the 1/24th Eurosport race.
