    Thanks SCR

Well, it's over for another year, and maybe this one should be called the "Cowbell Nats" thanks to Franks most frequently used toy, his cowbell.

To all the guys at SCR, thanks for another great nats.

Frank, another world class nats, you've got two great tracks there that give fast and close racing.

Vegas, Ron and Nick, thanks for all the help from behind the counter through the nats.

Mark, great photos, your perspective on slot car racing is always great.

To those who were not there and whined online about the coverage, maybe you should consider coming along and racing in the future, or getting together and chipping in to pay for some "almost live" coverage, after all, even Tony Stewarts Prelude to the Dream is live only on pay tv.....

To all the racers, thanks for coming along and racing. It was one of the best nats I have been to, despite the numerous colds, flu's and visits to the hospital.

Also great to see our traveling international racers, Brian, Gugu, and Alex, along with appearances by wing car racers Jose Mario, Al Chuck and Forrest Watchers. Maybe we'll get those guys racing next year!

See you all next year in Chicago.
If I'm racing it it probably came from or was built by:
    Best 'O' The West - B Slotcar - R-Geo Products - Cars by Crash - BOW Cobalt - 3rd Eye Technology

Yes, it's my slotcar site, and I know it needs updating. 1 Lap Short

Chris, calling us "whiners" is a bit steep

At least I provide same or next day coverage of our "National" events

I don't want to take anything away from Frank's Nationals, but surely "someone" could have stepped up to the plate and assisted him in giving "us" some sort of online coverage.

After all, hadn't the benchmark had already been set by previous National events?

Congrats to Frank for putting on yet another successful Nats. This was the biggest 32nd and 24th euro field we have seen in our lives.
    Thank You Frank

Gee Zip, I guess we can not all be as dynamic as you are. Maybe next time you can actually show up and dazzle us with your mastery. From my perspective, Anyone that was not racing was helping to get the program off with out a hitch. Seven days of racing with 12 to 16-18 hour days make for a very tired litter of racers! As, You can now see, the info you were barking for is trickling in at a steady rate. Now I am not writing this to get anyones knickers in a twist, However, I do expect a little more patience from grown men. We are the ones that should lead by example. Maturity and patience are considered a virtue. I raced in every class except the F1, 1/32 euro, and 1/ 24 euro. I had my share of bad breaks, However, I choose not to cry about it because I still had a fantastic time meeting and racing with the great people that make our little sport fun! I fulfilled my goal to race in a national event and have no regrets. The bottom line is we should all spend a little less time sniping and a little more time racing so we can all preserve the fun we now enjoy. I was blown away that more of my fellow Nor-cal racers did not attend even if only to watch. The guys that did had a blast! And If you have never met Bluey ( our norcal scra prez), That alone is worth the price of admission! I guess some folks are just scared of the possibility of not placing well. I dunno? I do know that anyone that could not make it missed some fantastic racing, and even more fantastic comradely!

Many thanks to Frank, and the entire SCR family for your dedication and support for all of the racers. It was an aw some event and all the hard work and long hours truly shined through.I am blessed to be able to come and race with such a great bunch of kats on a weekly basis.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE 2008 NATS WINNERS and racers, as you are the ones that make our sport worth while!

I will now Step off of the soap Box!

Remember all, Have Fun! Its only toy cars!

John: I don't get this either- we see this in the Chicago area where racers will take a pass at a big event thinking that they will get beat...

I feel that racing with "better" racers can only benefit your overall skills, and you should do so when you have the chance.

I just wanted to say thanks to everybody at the nats. I had a great time out there, but I would have liked to see more racers. Thanks for the hospitality.
