Fatboys Raceway

Went to Fatboys Raceway in Mansfield,Ohio yesterday.The raceway is coming along as they modify the building from light industrial to retail.

They had just finished the hillclimb that morn.It is an oglive(spelling?) from Oaklahoma and is very smooth and very fast.With little set up time they had Box-12 Wing cars going 3.3 sec. on spray glue.

The Tri-oval is a Chris Dadds from 1968 that was in very poor shape and has taken a lot of work and bondo to get it back.It needs braided and wired yet.

Thanks for the Best Wishes. I'm trying to findout any information about our tri-oval. I was told it was built in 1968 by Chris Dadds - but foundout Dadds didn't build tracks in "68". Thanks for the interest.

That looks like the track that was at Fast Eddies in Richmond, Indiana.

Hello From Fast Eddies!!!!!! That is my old track. I had it 4 years ago. It was built in 2000 by Butch Dunaway of Ohio. Sad to hear it was in such bad shape!! It was a great track for us here for over 4 years. Very very fast track!! Good luck!!!

After huge struggles with zoning boards,building inspectors,and fire inspectors, Fatboys Raceway is set to open on 2/14/2009 at 12 noon.
Valentines day so bring your sweethart along,nothing says I love you like a day at the track.

Regular winter hours after that will be:

Mon.,Wed.,Thur. 4 pm to 9 pm

Fri. 4 pm to 11 pm

Sat. 11 am to 11 pm

Sun. 1 pm to 7 pm

Tue. CLOSED

Will post full schedule before opening. Racedays/nights are Mon./Fri/Sat./Sun. as of now. We're starting with beginneers' class & going to Box-12 w/full bearing cars w/shunt wire to start with. Ordering stock now. Thanks

7pm. - GTP - Any 4" Stamped Steel Chassis/1/2"Frts./GTP Body/Full Bearing/C-can/Ceramic/Shunt/Super Wasp/Hillclimb.
Sun. - 1-7pm. 2:30pm. - 4.5" Stockcar - Stamped Steel Chassis/Stockcar Body/502 Parma sealed/Gold Dust or Big Foot/Springs & Cups only/Frt.&Rear Axle Bearings/Pro-Track Frts. & .850 Rears(choice)/Claimer Class/Tri-Oval.
4:30pm. - Outlaw Class - Any 4" Stamped Steel Chassis/4.5" Dirt Body/5/8" Frts./Full Bearing/C-can/Ceramic/Shunt/Super Wasp/Tri-Oval. *No cutting on any chassis allowed for any of the above classes. All chassis' must have been a production run (atleast 500 made). Clearance for all classes at rear of chassis = no less than .060 at Tech. All classes teched w/Champion gage except Stockcar will use Parma Stock Car Tech Tool.
