    Nascar Concourse, I Mean Concours

Thank you, thank you everyone. I'd like to first thank my concours advisor, Mr. Ronald Southern, who has put up with my weird burnt orange after doing so many gorgeous bodies in yellow and black...with side view mirrors of course. Second, many thanks to Sano Dave who graciously accepted just a $20 bill for picking my car. And finally to Mr. Lee Gilbert who provided the highly detailed wheel stickers that apparently clinched the award. I've said this before, but the Corner Climb at Mid America is just the most fun banked race track I've been on. Heaven for Speed Crazed Morons.

The 2009 Winner of the Dan Artman Memorial Trophy is Greg Gilbert for his outstanding performances in the ISRA-USA classes all weekend. His name will be engraved on the perpetual trophy for this award. There are closeup photos of Greg's winning cars in the gallery if you would care to have a look. Thank you to Greg for providing his cars to me to photograph.

Sincere thanks to all of the racers who attended and participated, thank you to the local racers who showed up on Sunday to help marshall.

Heartfelt thanks to Andy Wasserman who donated his time to direct the races. Andy's the best at what he does and we are fortunate that he is in a position to help with events at Mid-America.

Finally- thank you to Laura and Roger Schmitt for giving us racers a world-class place to race. See you all at the 2009 USRA Scale Nats.

If you have a memory of this event or comment I would encourage you to please share it in this thread.
