Friends, there is a simple solution to all your questions about rules and it is here: http://israworlds.com/isra2010rules.html

    Thanks George.

Another thing to consider regarding axle height is the hub size of the hand out tires.

Roy, the Production class cars are spec dinosaurs. The Champion chassis is 15 years old. Came out the same year as the Varilux Comfort Progressive lens for eyeglasses, which still happens to be the best selling optical lens on the market! I think the comparison with the Turboflex is similar, it is still a fantastic chassis. There will definitely be some trial and error to find a good combination, but the neat thing about a spec class is, we are all pretty much in the same boat for parts....you just have to figure out how to make those parts work together in the best way! Hey, see you in about a month, it will be good to do some racing together again.

You learn something new everyday re the Min axle size....

0.8mm is starting height in all the classes. And remember, in Prodcution you cant choose hub size.

Hand out tyres (you can grind them to size)
Hand out pre painted body.(you have to cut it out and fit supplied full interior)
Hand out sealed X12 motor (you cut cut the shaft, fit pinion and solder it in)

Ask Roger, but I would guess the motors wil be similar to 2008. Double ballraced, PS blueprints, with JB welded in mags. The tyres I believe are Alpha, again ask for hub size.

    Hotel information

    Anyone local, or Roger.

What are the local hotels, or have you secured some special rates which the entrants can take advantage of? Starting to look at flights and hotels now, and there doesn't seem to be much information.....

Brian, Lee has always used Priceline in the past and gotten great rates. I tried that once at Buena Park for a race and got a Homestead Suite nice room for $30 a night. Lee suggested calling just a few days before going as this is when the hotels are the most desperate to fill their vacancies. I should think you'd be able to do a Priceline bid now if you want to finalize everything 10 months ahead of time. Otherwise, there are certainly ways to do hotel searches on sites like Google, and get yourself a map print out from Mapquest or Google Maps to familiarize yourself with the area. I just suggested to Herman that he try Naperville (8 miles away) where there is a small college, probably places for parents to stay. Another town worth checking might be Lisle, only a few miles from Mid America. Or, like you said, perhaps Roger will secure a good rate at a hotel nearby like he used to at AmericInn. Good luck Brian, looking forward to seeing you in October!

People have been asking about hotels near Mid-America Raceway and Hobbies for both the North American Masters and ISRA Worlds.

Searching near the raceway address on expedia.com or hotels.com is my suggested resource for hotel information and booking.

Here are some nearby hotels to get you started, please check availability and rates for the dates needed with the individual hotels.
