Now thats what you call a BIG race, way to go Rog.

Even with all the space you have, which tracks are coming down to make room?

    Roy,

Thanks for the encouragement! My best times are all roughly 1/2 second slower than those. But I'll be at the raceway tomorrow at noon anyway. :-)

So if signups were to close today, which racers from the USA would be guaranteed a spot? Is it double the number of racers of the largest foreign country, which I think at this point is Great Britian with 14 entries, which could potentially mean more than 100 entries if 28 from the USA race, or is the maximum number of racers per class 100, and once the total number of signups exceed 100, racers from the host nation start getting booted? I don't think I undertsand the rule on the number of entries per class clearly...

    Here is the Real question.

Can we take the brushes out and re-radius them and re shunt the motor.

Don't see why not. That wouldn't be changing any thing on the motor. You kinda have to make sure it's fully broken in.

From the ISRA Tech director Graham Woodward,

    Hi Roger,
    the rules say
    "4.1.4 Motor

The motor is a sealed handout Group 12 motor and is to be used as is. However, the motor shaft may be shortened and the can may be trimmed to provide axle clearance only."

In all previous years that I have raced, the motor has been handed out with the springs either sealed with silicone or marked with some other medium to prevent removal of the springs, and the can screws are also marked to prevent removal.

So my interpretation is no, the brushes cannot be removed.
    Regards,
    Woody

    so there you have it,
