First of all - a HUGE thanks to Roger for doing such a fantastic job of sharing the 2010 USRA Div 2 Nats "Almost Live" coverage and photos here with Old Weird Herald readers! Coverage like this is a tremendous asset to so many of us slot car racers all over the world who are unable to attend in person. I definitely know how much work it is to gather all the results, take & upload pictures, and then to retype it all up with photos in posts, etc. - so I wanted to express my appreciation not only on my behalf, but for all OWH readers as well.

Now for a question... you mentioned in your post above that proposals to host the 2011 Div 2 Nats were given by HotSlots, Slot Car Raceway, & Mid-America... so while I am waiting with baited breath to find the outcome... when is the actual vote, and if it already took place, then who will be next year's host???

Inquiring minds want to know!

I asked the same question and was told it would be announced Friday.

We all got a ballot when we joined at the track to vote for the raceway for 2011. I assume they will count them tomorrow.

I heard today from a racer present that it would be an online vote this year for the Nats location?

Regardless all 3 tracks are very nice, and will host a great Nats.

I was incorrect, I was working on my car when they did the ballots for the vote. I spoke to Chick about it to make sure they did the ballots. My error 100% completely. I apologize.
