Big Mike had the track all setup and ready to go. We had one minor wiring issue at the beginning of the race but after about 15 minutes of repairs there were no further instances.
The facility has plenty of room for pit space and the parts area was fairly well stocked. The best part of the day were the slow cooked BBQ ribs, homemade potato salad and baked beans. I am all about the food and Mike, his family and friends sure did a great job.
We had seven retro racers and many more racers for the various events scheduled for the day.
I can't remember all the car types but there were several classes based upon the stamped flexi-type chassis and they were going to run a wing car race later in the evening.
It was really nice making new friends and I haven't seen the Sloans for 30 years!
In the pics you will see a tri-oval being set-up. There are also a couple of pics of some nice cars. The Saleen and BMW sure look better than my pics.
