    NEW scratch builder

New for summer 2010 Precision Slot Cars Scratch builder chassis fixture.
After months of development and testing the new scratch builder chassis fixture is ready for racers
    to use.
We have fit every kind of popular motor bracket on this fixture,WRP ,JK, REHO, and the super
forged motor bracket from Professor Motor.
Rear axle is adjustable + or - 1/16" for easy placement of F-1 style chassis's or custom wheel
    bases.
Front axles can be built with either 3/32" or 1/16" diameter axles spaced 1/4" apart.
Fixture does 1/16" frame rails and .078" frame rails, all spaced at 1/32" intervals.
Handy 1/4-20 tapped hole in center of fixture for holding things in place.
3/32" holes drilled in front and back of fixture to hold axles, set-up wheels and gears.
Keeping with all Precision Slot Car chassis fixture's sizes and placements are engraved on
the fixture surface. This is one of the largst fixture's we have made.

    Dave,

Last night I used my prototype Scratch Builder Jig to build a new JK C-21 for the Retro Flexi race at M&T this Saturday. I think this jig will work for almost anything. I can't wait to get my hands on the production model. If I get my butt back to the work shop I should have an extra Retro Flexi car if you want to use it Saturday. Keep up the good work, your products are the best.

    Seeee ya! at the races.

    Regards,

P.S. Now we have to get to work on one for Retro Pro/Retro anglewinder.

I got my first look at the new scratch builder on Friday and with the new overhead clamping system and you should be able to make just about anything! If you wanted a short wheelbase car you could use the overhead clamp to hold a shorter wheelbase in any position you would like... i.e. you could butt the build axel up to the back side of the 4 inch and hold it in place with the clamping system. And now you can do your pin tubes the same way every time (so a body change is as simple as taking one off and putting a different one on) I LOVE this feature. Dave keeps making fixtures better and better, the new jig wheels are very cool and the super thick block is just about bullit proof.

The Scratch builder fixture made with 1 3/16" material retails for $129.95 for the complete package. (jig wheels, build axles and hardware)

There is a $15.00 charge for machining the t-slots in the sides.

Accessories that can be purchased separately are the pin tube feature $24.95, or the Clamping bridge $19.95

No instructions or tutorials needed all the instructions you will need a permanently engraved on the surface of all
    Precision Slot Car chassis fixtures.

I will post pictures of the final fixture later today

Dave, I love the new thick jig. It works great! Now I just have to upgrade it with the T-Slots on the side... I really like that feature!

    2012 Scratch builder available

This is the production version of the 2012 Scratch Builder.

I will offer the fixture in both short wheel base and standard wheel base.

The short wheel base version is for angle winders and any chassis you want to build with short wheel bases.

The standard version is for all retro chassis's and Formula 1 you can build + or - 1/16"

This is a precision chassis fixture, you can see in the pictures that all chassis pieces are pinned in place.
Chassis width and rear axle width are all set with precision. No measuring, no muss, no fuss.
The fixture assures that your chassis is absolutely straight, square, perpendicular, and centered to tolerances of + or minus .001.
This is the major difference between a jig and a precision fixture.
Jig wheels for all retro classes front and rear. all machined with proper clearance.
Front axle post for 1/16" axles for the angle winders
    Engraved lines for guide length
Made with 3/4 " solid material

This is only available through Precision Slot Cars.
