2010 American Flat Track Worlds - "The Flats" - July 16-18, 2010

What an event!
A huge shout of thanks to Rob, Dan, Sara, Jeff,Paul,Jim and all the rest of the crew that made this
a killer event! The Flats is finally back in Washington State. Before I get into saying much about
the racing and my personal stuff everyone out in OWH land has to try and make it to next years
event. This was not only one of the largest scale races in the great U.S of A, but kind of a
celebration of sorts. Sure every event has it's douters, but Rob and Dan and crew pulled it off.

Yeah, I really hated to stop tuning on cars to hit the BBQ or take a half hour off for the raffling off
of all the door prizes,but everyone. It was great! These guys at PSCR gave all the manufactures
that donated the prizes, lots of air time and there dues, I'm sure in the long run that will pay off too.

Heck, Cody and I ended up with door prizes from eleven different vendors/suppliers, thank you all.
And with that said I should give them what they all deserve. keep in mind this is just what we won.

I know I mentioned the Slot Car story would possible run tonight (tuesday)...but now it looks like it could be on hold a couple more days.
Nothing wrong with the story....in fact..Doug did an incredible job with it and you all will be amazed...but right now.....im not sure whcih day it will run.

When I know...you'll know and that way you can get the word out to the racing world.

Sorry for the delay, Ive been out at the US Senior Open all week and got word tonight, that barring breaking news the Slot Car story will run tomorrow in the 5:00 news and should re-air later on the sports show.

I will email you all tomorrow to confirm....

But here is the times it should air...

Friday--- 5:35ish---5:50ish pm on King-5 News on Channel 5 in HD (the one i would record or DVD)

It should reair then....

the story will first air at 5:44 on King-5 TV--Channel 5....most stories run anywhere from 1:15-1:45...we got 5:08 for this story.....

Kevin, I'm down in the Bay Area and cannot get a plane in time to fly up to Seattle to watch it....I guess I'd go to a Best Buy and when nobody is looking change the channel and watch it. Hey, is there any way to see the program down here? Can we see it on a website or a podcast or somepin?

It's still cool to see the slot car report - this time on Evening Magazine - a local show at 7 PM with a huge following.

Nice to see it once again on another program with a different intro... and... it's online on yet another program's web site.

I still get teary eyed every time I watch it!
