Those are definetly a good motor to build from, and right from the get-go should be pretty fast. I'd run it, send the arm off to Beuf, re-glue the magnets and put a bearing in the can.... But you'll have all the pieces and won't even have to hone out the can. It should be honed to .575 already...

Yes George... Justin should have run that motor. :-) It's ok though... It fit right in with everything else he ran, motor wise, that night! At least the cars handled well, just no get-up-n-go!

    The bash was fun though!

We tend to run small arms 16D'S 38 to 42 degree with 585 air gaps gugu setups\mags with anywhere from a 10p-12. If we run big arms I use fx mags with a 585 air gap or bigger. I like the fx set ups on some tracks as well. Especially ovals. Ill run a 585 air gapin those as well.

George.... I forgot to mention Justin's lesson from Saturday night.... "You get out of it what you put into it..." We didn't do much of anything to prepare for "The Bash", and that's pretty much what we got out of it!

Now excuse me while I go turn some comms and get some motors ready for NorCal, because it's apparent I need to do *SOMETHING* ! :-)

Many thanks for all your kind words guys, and glad you keep reading this thing. I just had to knock the magnets out of the G12 motor I ran on Saturday, the one that did the track record. I found the T5s were pushed too far towards the can bearing end so the arm was loading on the bearing and the brushes barely hitting the comm. They came out easily enough, so right now they are in the epoxy oven in new position closer to the endbell.

You're braver than I am... As fast as that thing was, if I had found something "Wrong" like that, I probably would have "Broken" the rest of Justin's motors! :-)

After last Saturday Night's race and seeing Vegas's fast lap time, I think everyone should be looking for a tenth or so. 3.50 in a race is stupid fast. The only other car I've seen come close to that was Frank Gawronski's Nats car.
