    Clarification on cahoza magnets

According to the cahoza website the T2 and T5 angle tip magnets are usra approved. THEY ARE NOT Approved parts. I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers this close to the nats but I thought it should be clarified they were submitted, but not approved being the T5 is not avalable in the production motor(s) for the USRA set cost. Once again NO cahoza angle tip magnets are USRA legal.

Well in that case, are you outlawing the Cahoza cans as well? Since they only seem to come with T2 magnets in them?

After a talk with Mike on the phone, I wanted to clarify what he is saying so others unfamiliar with Cahoza parts know that there is a difference.

Cahoza Part # 275 Tornado 2 magnets are still legal

Cahoza Part # 276 Tornado 2 Bevelled and #278 Tornado 5 Bevelled magnets are NOT LEGAL.

    Mike,

Obviously, the cahooza website has not been updated since the usra rules changed.

I don't know if I have T2 or T5 in my C can setups since the dots are not visible. I'm looking at the pictures on the cahooza site and I cannot see any difference other than the color of the dot. How do I know if my magnets are usra legal?

    angle tip magnets

    Please read the Post.

Mike has said in bold and in RED the following.

Cahoza $28 Angle tip magnets are not legal for USRA racing.

Again the word to look for is "Angle Tip"

if you have the flat tip magnets you are fine.

I hope this clears everything up.

These are the magnets that are not legal you can see that the tips are angled.

    These are the normal magnets.

You can very clearly see the difference.

I think this is the question that everyone wants a answer two.

What part numbers are legal Mike.

    #275 Tornado2
    #276 Tornado2 Bevel
    #277 Tornado5
    #278 Tornado5 Bevel

Are #275 and #278 Legal and #276 and #277 not legal.

Please let every one know the Nats are very close.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for this last minute controversy. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This year's Scale Nats has had way, way, way too little controversy. Thank God somebody has finally at the very last minute stirred up the pot and created a mess. This is fantastic! A Scale Nats just wouldn't be the same without this tradition. Keep up the good work guys.

Maybe Cahoza should not post that a product is legal when its not.

Everyone should just run Proslot magnets they we would not have any problems.

Actually not a bad suggestion Mike. The set ups we used for Production at the Worlds were awesome as were the armatures, the "US12" arms...in fact, it might not be a bad thought to run that motor in GT12!!! Mike, what are those magnets called? I've seen several different C Can mags by Pro Slot and don't know what those Worlds magnets are called. I remember something like a Mega III? Is that it? FX magnets? I can't figure it out...but they are reasonably priced for sure.
