    Way to go Vance!

Another concourse plaque for the North-West contingent!

Mazur - you are on fire! You'll need another box for all your new plaques!

Good luck to all in the race!

This was my best win ever and the weirdest. I need to apologize to my able competitors for whom I made the first two heats an utter nightmare. Paul thought my guide tongue was bent, so in the third heat on black I decided to just finish the race with no further embarrassment by turning my sensitivity way down and going to 6' choke. Suddenly I was almost keeping up with most of the field. Many thanks to my friend Frank Sarkela who did an outstanding job of pitting me. Alsothanks to Richard Mack for the best chassis on the market and Camen for the best pinion and spur gears. After black my car (and my brain) woke up and I slowly climbed out of the deep hole I put myself into. This was a first class field of slotracers, Ricky D and Roy were fabulous...Mazur also dug out of a hole. Moral of the story...never give up!!!

This was a very competitive race with a lot of fast cars. Congrats to George. I thought he was dead and then he came roaring back with some monster lap totals in the final segments. Going into the last heat it looked like 5 racers could have won it. I was on red just looking to hold a podium spot but I messed up just once and that cost me third. Mazur was just a few feet ahead of me and Paul G. a few feet behind in fifth. Great race by Ricky D to hold second. Mazur's car was quite awesome.

Hey Guys! We had a great showing from Nor-Cal with of course "Slot Racer" George leading the way. "Sano Dave" looks like he is starting to recover from health problems, way to go! Gus in Sacto
